Streets.

*After the rather long conversation with Akisu, Drei really didn't want to see him for a long time. She had walked out of the Sake Shop and decided that food is best eaten on the roof. She didn't know why. It could have been that the city was rubbing off on her. Either way it'd be near impossible to get on the roof without spilling the ramen. She decided to just sit in front of the shop and eat there.*

*It had been a while since Kokyou and Ein had left the Shop and went walking around. It wasn't long before they got within sight of the place and the noticed a very unwelcome sight sitting in front of the building.*

Ein: *pulling a kunai out* What is she doing there?!

Kokyou: *his expression saddens* I don't know but we'll have to find out. No point in running.

*they get closer, Ein keeping her guard up while Kokyou seems unprepared*

*Halfway through her ramen she noticed 2 very familiar persons approaching her*

~Damnit! That half-ass general must have set me up! Keep your cool, Kaname...~

*She calmly sets her food and drink down beside her and stands up and faces the 2*

"Well Kokyou it looks like today is your unlucky day. Today is the day you will feel my revenge." *smirk*

*Kokyou holds his hand in front of Ein*
"I'll handle this. Kaname." *he pauses for a moment* "If you want to take my life, come and get it."

*he motions with his outstretched arm for Ein to hand him the kunai she has, which she hesitantly does*

*taking a stance as Ein moves out of the way* "Come and recieve the truth"

*Drei was unsure if she was ready, but knowing he wouldn't kill her this time, she was ready to try until she actually does die*

*drawing a kunai of her own she charges at Kokyou. She starts by thrusting towards the hand his kunai is in*

*seeing that the both of them were right handed he read her movements and moved in a way that he would be facing her back should she continue. Grabbing her wrist he proceded to use her momentum against her and throw her to the ground*

*it happened quickly. Within a few seconds she was now face down on the ground with Kokyou gripping the wrist holding the kunai. Things were looking bad. She wasn't expecting to be thrown. All she could do was grab dust with her free hand and try and throw it up at where she was hoping his face would be*

*After flipping Kaname on the ground she decided to try and throw dirt in his face. Her plan failed as the dirt hit him on the chest. Gripping her wrist harder he waited for the kunai to drop. When he did, he slid it away with his foot and let go of her wrist. He stood up and backed towards the kunai*

"If that is the extent of your skills then the truth is that you don't stand a chance against me. Wake up and realize Scythe has you fooled into thinking a lie."

*she grinds her teeth as she slowly gets up and listens to Kokyou preach at her*

"Its not over yet. I'm just getting started."

*she charges at him again and tries to punch at his face*

*Dodging deftly towards the right, Kokyou flips the kunai so they point the opposite direction. Kokyou then tries to put his knee into Drei's gut with enough force to drop her*

*her second attack was dodged as if she were still a child and then countered. She couldn't dodge it and was now on her knees trying to regroup herself.*

*with Drei now on the ground coughing, Kokyou took another set of steps backwards*

"Listen to me, Kaname. I don't want to do this. Please stop this."

"I'll stop...when you are...dead."

*She staggers up, and after a moment charges at Kokyou again. this time it was different. She had a plan. She would do something drastic right before she reached him (which wasn't that far to go anyway)*

"KACHU TENSHIN AMAGURIKEN!"

*She began to punch at him with enough speed to make it appear as if her arms disappeared*

*Kokyou was taken off guard and had just enough time to put his arms up in defense to the flurry of blows. He had to act quickly. He began to make a quick retreat and after escaping her range he threw the kunai behind him so they would stick in the ground. He put his fists up ready for what she had next.*

*she smirked as he backed away*

~here comes my advantage~

*she charges at him again and tries to overwhelm him with punches*

*Noticing the smirk Kokyou prepared for the same approach. Knowing just what she was doing he countered.*

"KACHU TENSHIN AMAGURIKEN!"

*his flurry of blows was different. Instead of fists, his blows were open palmed. Within 3 blows he had caught Drei' s fists. Gripping her fists tightly, he pulled her towards him and gave her a sturdy headbutt*

*Drei was startled when Kokyou yelled. She was stunned when he caught her fists. She was wide open for just long enough for Kokyou to capitalize on it. She was stunned more when their heads collided, and tried to pull away unconsciously*

*Drei had tried to pull away and Kokyou let go of her hands. Kokyou continued to carry the momentum of the fight, and took his left fist and slammed it into her gut*

*Drei was still trying to bring herself around after the headbutt and was not prepared at all for Kokyou's followup. She was hit hard and the wind was knocked out of her. She began to slump over his hand as her knees began to give out*

*Kokyou decided there was one last thing to do to end the fight. He took his right hand and proceded to bring it across and hit her in the face.*

*Kokyou's right cross made solid contact and sent her flying to the side to the ground. She dropped like a sack of Daikon radishes. She rapidly lost consciousness after that.*

*Kokyou stood there and watched Drei drop. It was dead silent for a moment. The people around were standing there the whole time watching. By now someone had run off to notify the police. A tear fell down Kokyou's face as he crouched down and picked up Kaname's limp body.*

"Let's go, Mio..." *He turned towards the back roads*

*Ein was stunned for a moment, but she eventually came back down and retrieved the kunai and followed Kokyou, keeping silent the whole way*

*Aki takes a step out of the sake shop and sighs. It's a nice warm night out, but the breeze is a bit cool. It clears his slightly intoxicated mind up a bit.*

*He continued on down the street, towards the end. He hated having to pay for a place to sleep, but his body was complaining about where he'd been sleeping lately. So one night of paying for a place that was warm and comfortable to sleep wouldn't kill him.*

Sitting in the street, shadowed by the moonlight, was Amethyst. She Didn't seem to be doing much of anything. But it was Pretty obvious it was her from the cursing and Ame-inclined smell of sake. Holding onto her tachi that was grating into the ground. Tensed. Yet not hyperventilating or apparently ready to kill people anytime soon.

The curses from the woman were quiet, almost to herself. Bangs covering face, though her expression would be pretty hard to see since it's night and all.

*It was nighttime and not many people walking around. And most who did walk around weren't in the middle of the street. That's why Aki easily spotted the figure in the middle of the road.*

*As he moved closer, he knew who it was. The swearing, the smell of sake. He approached her.*

Ame, what are you doing? You're going to get run over...*His green eyes glinted down at her.*

Ame mumbled for a moment til something coherant came out, "I dare those assholes to run me over...Not the first time a horse would've lost it's step... completely"

It was clear Ame was upset over something on closer inspection. Fact, was she crying? No, that wasn't like Ame at all. What in the world could the woman be thinking? A crying Ame's completely out of character! Maybe she was happy with tears. No, No.. NO. That was even worse. Could just be something in her eyes then. Yeah, that makes more sense.

"just go away, Aki. Or have you come to run me over?" she grabs her sword "I dare you to. Don't loose your step"

I was just going to find a place to sleep, and unless running you over gets me some money, I don't care to.

*His eyes narrowed on her. Was she really crying? She didn't cry, not even after being beaten to a pulp did she cry. Aki wondered, but knew Ame wasn't the type to talk about things that were bothering her. Still, Aki was a curious one, perhaps too curious for his own good at times.*

What's wrong, Ame?

To the question, Ame took a deep breath. Then let it go. She thought about telling him and dammit all she didn't really want to. And she didn't plan to. But PMS and worry sorta gets the better of women at the worst of times.

"I can't find anyone. Obsid disappeared long ago, Oke is nowhere around. I have no idea where that Sasha bastard went off to.. It's like the entire place became empty. Even the idiot guards from the Moribastard aren't around much."

Hmm.... I've noticed that, too. *He went quiet for a moment. Then offered a hand to her. He knew what it felt like to be alone. Often times he prefered it, but there were those times where he just wanted someone to look after him or to talk to. He knew what that felt like, besides Ame was his only half sibling that he could stand to be around. He couldn't just leave her alone.*

Let's get you out of the street. We can talk more as we walk. *The moonlight reflecting off of his green eyes. Eyes that looked much older than they used to. At least, they did at the moment.*

The street fell deathly quiet. Aki holding his hand out to Ame. A pretty distraught Ame looking up at Aki through her dark green eyes. And for the first time (in probably a long time), instead of smacking the hand away, Ame took it. It was odd, but understood why she didn't grab offered hands when getting up. Her grip was Strong. To the point of cracking bones. And it also felt odd, considering her hands were full of scars and callouses.

Getting up, the woman whiped her face in her sleeve, took another big breath of air. And glanced at Aki. "This walk better include sake. Lots of sake."

*Aki tried not to cring as her grip squeezed his hand painfully. He pulled her to her feet and quickly yanked his hand from her grip.... or at least tried to.*

Yeah, here, I think I have some sake in my pocket. *Aki rummaged around with the hand that wasn't throbbing and pulled out a bottle of sake to hand to her.*

She took the bottle of sake without much complaint. Uncorking it. Glaring at it. And muttering while she takes a sip, "If this is poisoned, Aki, I'll break the bottle and make you drink the glass.." Two more sips later and she became less dark and more depressed. "Nah, this'd better be poisoned. I wanna forget that I woke up earlier."

Now the initial thread sounded pretty evil and even a little too violent for what Ame's been like the last year. But hey, maybe she hasn't said many threats in teh last while because of the lack of people. And simply needed to tune up.

I wouldn't poison my own sake. *Pause* Well.... I try not to poison my own sake. *He grumbled a little, remembering the time he did drink his own tained sake.*

*He started walking towards the inn, expecting her to follow.* You know, we probably both need to stop drinking so much sake...

After a bit of sedaited thought, the woman threw the empty flask of what once held sake away. Walking slightly behind Aki, the woman kept her eye on him.. "Sake's in our blood, Aki... If you stop drinking it or even cut down on it you'll die... Dammit, didn't you know that?" Saying this as if it were true. And don't try to go against Ame's beliefs.

She paused.. "Where are we going.. Pyro's joint isn't in this direction..."

I said stop drinking so much, not stop drinking all together. I wouldn't give up sake completely. *Aki grinned, looking back at her for a moment. He didn't believe what she said, but he did find it amusing.*

I'm going to the inn right now. I just came from Reiji's place.... or whatever the hell his name is now. I was getting tired of falling asleep on his floor and wanted a real bed to sleep on.

"Oh.. Alright... Sure.. Hai..." No, that didn't seem right. Ame stopped with a pretty confused look for a second. Followed by a paranoid one, "Wait a second... Aren't Moribastards samurai using the inns? Why are we going to the inns?" Dark green eyes caught on fire. She reached out and grabbed Aki by the trenchcoat collar "Are you with them?! You Bastard, I should kill you right now!" Other hand going for sword handle.

But gradually the paranoid look faded into something confused.. "Beds!? There.. are beds in edokyo??... When did this happen?" She glowered "Why don't you sleep on roofs?"

Moritsune's samurai got moved out not long ago. They got their own housing built. *Aki wouldn't say how he found out this information, of course.*

And you know I don't sleep on roofs. I usually pass out in the sake shop, tea house, or the clinic. And I sometimes say at one of the inns when I actually feel like paying for something..

Eventually Ame let Aki go. So they can continue thier walk towards where ever this mythical inn is. She scoffs to herself "Not sleeping on roofs.. They're the saftest place to sleep. You're not the aki I use to know... Feh... No sake my ass.." she mutters out a few more excuses that don't matter, "Bed sleeper..."

And before the woman in green robes got ahead of herself she realized something far more important.. Stopping again. "I'm not paying for this..."

The Aki you used to know didn't sleep on roofs either. *He grumbled, thinking he was just as he always was.* Besides, I like a nice warm bed from time to time. Where do you sleep when it rains? *He eyed her curiously*

Besides, who said you were sleeping at the inn?! I said I was and that I would pay for it... for once. But don't worry, I'll probably steal it back from them later on. *Grin*
