Its a street. Righto.

Tag left the tavern, feeling a bit better than when she'd first entered. It would take a while to get used to wearing her gender on the surface, for everyone to see. Still, it wasn't the end of the world. If anything, it'd be more fun to rub it in the faces of other pirates, that they were beat by a woman.

She gave a large grin, and walked aimlessly down the street

*Kai sneaked his way around the back alleys. He wasn't actually IN the shadows now, but just walking through them. He'd been trained to get used to the light while he was with the Marines, but that still didn't mean he didn't like it, or that it didn't bother him. Somewhere along the way of escaping the Marine base, he'd found some decent clothes. Not pirate clothes, just brown shoes, jean pants, and a nice black shirt with a bit of a V down the front.*
*It had been awhile since he'd been to town and he was currently trying to find his way to the tavern, until he noticed someone. Someone who looked very familiar, but different somehow. He stared at Tag from the shadows. He didn't remember meeting any girls like her while he was here. Oh, but there was a boy he'd met who could be her twin.*
*Kai walked out of the shadows in front of Tag.* Ye wouldn' be related t' a Tag, would ye?

She looked at Kai and gave a dismisive shrug. "Tag's the last name. but I'll assume you mean my annoying little brother, Erian. Who are you?" There was no sign of recognition on her face. Maybe it was born from years of pretending, because inside there was nothing she wanted to do more than to burst out laughing.

Oh... didn' know that was his last name. Just knew he was annoying an' called himself Tag. *Looking off to the side, thinking. It'd been awhile since he'd seen Tag, Kel, or anyone else for that matter.*
*He then turned his emerald eyes back to her and stepped back towards the shadow. Damn sun was too bright!* Me name be Kaitou... 'r Kai, most people just call me that. What be yer's?

"Sarah.." she said, smiling almost shyly. "Sarah Tag."

Is that how a girl's expected to act? Ah never did know.

"It's good to meet you, Kai." She extended her hand.

*His large hand wrapped around her's and shook it tightly.* Nice t' meet ye, t'. I was going t' go t' the tavern an' have a few drinks, ye want t' come?
*He smiled at her, she seemed nice enough, certainly a lot better than her 'brother'.*

Tag shook her head sadly.

"I'm afraid I can't do that.. I don't think you'd like me all that much."

Inside, Tag was snickering like crazy. Kai would probably hate her even more for this but it was his own fault. If he'd only noticed her face first, instead of her breasts, he'd have known something was up.

Why not? I just met ye. How would ye know if I'd like ye 'r not? *Scratching his head and then running his fingers through his very dark purple hair.*
Come on, I'll pay fer drinks. *He grinned.*

Tag couldnt hold in in anymore. She burst out laughing.

"Oh man, Ah had ya goin there. Tag don't have no sisters. Ah'm Tag!"

She let out a couple more guffaws that were decidedly unlady like.

*Kai had a very confused look on his face, then his eyes narrowed and he looked a bit angry.*
Ye shouldn' dress up as girls, Tag! 'R something bad might happen t' ye. Some pirates kidnap young girls ye know.

Tag laughed again. "I aint dressing. I'm 100 percent female, always have been. Been hiding it fer what seems like ages now but its true. A relief too. That blasted scarf was gettin hot."

Tag suddenly glared daggers at Kai "An before ye go demaning proof that I'm female, remember I still got the one pistol on me."

Wait... so.... ye were a girl before?! *He gave a very surprised look.* Why'd ye d' that? Dressin' up like a guy I mean. Ye look a lot better as a girl.
*Kai leaned down and stared her in the face, then his eyes traveled down, deciding for himself if she was actually female.*

Tag smacked him in the face with her pistol.

"Thats why," she stated sour-faced. She turned sharply with a 'humph' and started to walk away, muttering nasty things under her breath. That had been surprisingly satisfying. Evidently, being a girl came with fringe benefits after all.

Oooow... *He rubbed his cheek where there was now a red mark where her pistol hit him.* What'd ye smack me fer?! That hurt!
*He walked after her. Trying to figure out what she'd meant by 'that's why'. What was she talking about?*

"Ya want treasure, ya go for some other pirates chest. Leave mine out of it."

Tag put her pistol away, still disparing over the loss of its twin.

"Hey, kai. Any idea where the gun girl went?"

*Kai finally got it with the mention of chest.* Oh, that's what ye were mad about. I was just making sure ye were still a girl. Nothing more than that... *He blushed a little, though it would be hard to tell what he was really blushing at.*
Hmm.. I just got here, so I dun know.

"Bah. She still has my pistol. An there aint no way in hell I'm trying to steal it back again"

Something he'd said just regestered, and Tag grew curious. "Huh, I hadn't noticed, but yeah, haven't seen ya around for a long time. Where'd ya go?"

Oh... I got dragged off by Marines. They didn' seem t' like the fact I had Devil Fruit powers. Anyway... it sucked, but the bastard running the place got offed an' I got t' leave. Well... little more complicated than that, but that's the jist of it.
*Actually, there was a lot he left out, but that would be told another time, if at all.*

"Huh. How'd they catch ya? I mean, it'd seem pretty hard ta catch someone that can fall into shadows."

Boy wont zako be thrilled to hear he's back. Its about time the place's livened up a bit. I was about to die of boredom

Well... ye see. They put this collar on me made out of seastone. Basically what that does is make it so I can't use me powers. Also weakened me a bit, t'. *He frowned.* I hope there aren' many people with that stuff, I dun like it.

"HAH! THATS what the collar was for. Thought it was odd. Was actually starting to think ya'd gotten into the weird stuff."

Tag grinned mischeviously. "I see it's gone now. What a shame. Guess you're afraid of the dark again then?"

Aye, that's what it was fer. *He grumbled, remembering the collar and remembering when Tag had made fun of him for it.*
An' I'm not afraid of the dark! The damn Marines made sure I wasn'.

Tag shrugged. "Atleast the collar's gone now. It's not nearly as funny knowin ya didn't do it yerself."

Something else occured to Tag, and an interested look came into her eys. "Say, I'm wonderin'.. With the collar on, were you able to swim again?"

Of course I didn' d' that meself. Why would I put a collar on meself, that's just stupid. *He crossed his arms* An' no, I couldn' swim. It just gets rid of yer powers, but not the bad side affects of them. Guess that's why it's a Devil Fruit, the bad part of it always stays around.

"Ah well, you wer the one that ate it. Ah hope all the good pirates eat them an onepiece turns out to be at the bottom of the ocean." Tag grinned again.

"Though I'll be finding ut soon enough. Gotta map of thegrandline comin' soon."

Riiiight, sure ye d'. How much ye paying fer this 'map' o' the Grandline? Probably a fake. It'll lead ye t' yer own doom. *Kai smirked, saying the comment to get her back for hoping the Onepiece was at the bottom of the ocean.* Well, at least ye won' be eating any Devil Fruit, ye'd never be concidered a good pirate.

"Ah don't need a devil fruit ta make me good. An' the map aint fake either. An ol' friend's pops is a cartographer. He swipped it from 'im and he's makin his way here even as we speak."

Tag grinned. "Ah suppose we'll have to deal with ya' followin us over there like a lost puppy. Meby we'll even throw ya scraps."

I'm no lost puppy! An' I won' be following a horrible pirate such as yerself. I'd just get meself killed doing that. *He glared down at her, thought for a moment, then looked curious.* By the way, how long has this map o' yer's been coming? Weren' ye waiting fer it when I was here last?

"Eh, maybe," she said, with a shrug. "He's got quite a ways to come via ship. Las I heard, he was plannin' on earning his berth aboard a cargoship ta get here. These things take time."

Tag picked up a pebble ad began tossig it absently.

"Though, all this waitin's getting tiresome. It's worth it though."

That's a lot t' go through t' give a little kid like ye a map. What makes ye think he'll actually show?
*Kai found a wooden crate in the alleyway next to them and moved over to sit on it. It was in a nice shaded spot out of the glaring sun and heat.*

Tag barked out a short laugh.
"An now I'm a little kid eh? Whats that say about yer flirting earlier, pedophile?"

A ghost of a smile touched Tags lips. She tossed away the rock she'd een fiddling with and crouched."He'll show. We made a pact."

I thought ye were older when I didn' know ye were that annoying brat I used t' know! I'm not a pedophile. *Saying the last part a little more quietly, so people walking by wouldn't hear.* Besides, I'm 18, I'd be close enough t' yer age. *Now looking almost like he was going to pout, but not quite.*

Tag looked at him, a smirk on her face. "An how young do ya suppose I am, anyways?" Her voice was tinged with sarcasm, but there was genuine curiosity there.

Tag noticed a lightless on her chest and instinctively reached to pull up her scarf before it dragged across the ground. She managed to catch herself before actually moving though. The scarf had been such an integral part of her appearence for so long, she was having trouble adjusting to not wearing it anymore."

Hmmm.... *He studied her for awhile. His eyes looked her up and down, then fixated on her chest.*
I'd say yer 16 'r so. Yer obviously not t' young, but ye dun look fully developed, either. *Kai didn't say it to be mean either, his voice was completely serious.*

"Ya keep fergettin what a face looks like," she growled, turning away from him.

"Fer being undeveloped ya sure seem facinated by them." She stood up and started walking away. Their banter had never bothered her before, but the way his eyes continued drifting downward now left her feeling vaguely disgusted. She'd spent years hiding those. They wern't for display.

"An for yer information, I'm 18."

I-I wasn' facinated with them. *He quickly looked away, blushing a little.*
They're just... usually a good way t' tell how old a girl is, that's all. *Using it as an excuse. He was a bit surprised to hear she was the same age as him, at least that made him feel a little better, he couldn't be a pedophile then.*

"Right. Its also a good way to tell how old a guy is. Mentally, anyway."

Tag picked up another rock and began kicking it as she walked down the street. "See ya later Kai," she stated rather flatly. "I got things ta do."

Hey, wait! I just... uh.... *He then sighed and grumbled as she walked off. He leaned back against the wall. Kai hadn't meant to stare for so long or chase her off with it. Sighing again, he then fell back into the shadow and grumbled. It was the first time he'd fallen into shadows accidently in some time.*
