Title: Yummy
KrazyKelli - March 13, 2005 06:18 AM (GMT)
Here's something I'm making up right now Simply because I'm having a weird night. Share and enjoy.
Mmm, Worms
A scrumptious treat
The more they squiggle
The more there's to eat
Funnest to watch
As I select from the tray
To feed my two geckies
At the end of the day
The smaller the better
So my herp pals don't choke
Pick out the lively
I'll hold and I'll stroke
Watch in my hand
Yumy mealworm stew
Hey, if lizards can eat them
Then I should eat them, too
So they'll get devoured
Still moving and crunchy
They don't taste quite that bad
This quick squirming lunchy
I wont get blamed
If my herps miss a meal
The economy sucks
Mealworms are a steal
The message of this poem
Is not to delay!
Poverty, worms, a quick buck
Better than catfood, anyway.

Thanks so much for bringing up one of the most horrible memories of my childhood :P I bit off half a reeces cup at my grandpa's house and my mouth felt weird; it was filled with weevles! weevles! (beetle larva, look almost exactly like mealworms) and I spat it out and didn't eat reeces for about five years. But I certainly like your work and my relationship with those things just makes it easier for me to connect to it

XD lol. One of my friends wants to eat a roach. She wants to know if they're crunchy or not. ^^, and that reminds me of when me and my stepbrother were camping. One of his friends bit into the chicken and it was full of maggots or somethin' and he just kept eatin' it. >.< ,,, and I've tried catfood before. ....It smelled so good! It was the canned stuff...>.< I thought it would be tastey...but it really didn't have a taste =/ It only smells good. :(

That reminds me of something that happened at a high school near where I lived. They had a vending machine the had all sorts of snacks in it. A girl bought a pack of twinkies and bit into it. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw something moving. She looked down at what she had in her hand. Small white worm-like creatures were crawling out of her half eaten twinkie. She felt around in her mouth. She could feel something crawling about inside her mouth, and it tasted horrible!
The vaccuum sealed package must've had a hole in it because a fly layed it's eggs inside the twinkie. The maggots hatched and ate out all the cream filling. To make it up to the girl, and make sure she didn't sue, Hostess gave her a years supply of twinkies. Hurray... <_<

Fun stories but... Weevils... *Shivers* I can't imagine eating weevils. Little black beatles (that resemble darklings, which comes after the mealworm faze). Not only are weevils small and annoying, but they taste AWEFUL.
