Description: Purely awesome.....

Theres a new game out. Well, its in a open beta right now. Its a really, really awesome game.

Gunz Online: http://www.gunzonline.com/ is a game that combines all the awesomness of an old school Hong Kong action film, John Woo gun fight films, and acrobatic surrealism (kinda like the Matrix) and puts it into one online third person shooter game. The game is similiar to the original Devil May Cry, in that you can do some stylish gun fighting combos that combine guns and melee weapons. The combo system is nice, and the abilities to wall run and tumble while having two uzis in your hands blasting away.....is awesome.

Plus, the game combines MMORPG elements to allow you to customize your character's choice of clothing, accessories, and weapons. You earn money and exp as you kill stufff....which allow you to buy stuff.

Now, keep in mind, the open international beta JUST came out yesterday (as of this typing). The combo system isn't too advanced (but still hell of alot of fun), the graphics aren't exactly a Half Life 2 rival, and the "charater customization" is pretty limited right now. Still? This game offers a ton of fun, great online shoot out. I'd recommend anyone to try it out.

EDIT:.....this game only has a 150 MB download file size,w hich is awesome. I also just realized this would have probably gone better in the arcade.....now I just gotta figure out how to move it....

EDIT2: Moved topic successfully, thanks to KK. Yep.....

I played a little bit of it yesterday. Its good, but it could've been better. It pisses me off that there are only 2 servers and they are full most of the time. took me like 15 minutes to actually log on and play. Also the guns would be better if they had more than 2 or 3 looks for each gun. But like you said, its only a beta so that could change over time. I think buying items and customizing your character was pretty neat, I still had a fun time regardless. However, there are more superior games and MODs out there. I suggest you download The Specialists for half-life. Trust me, it does the John Woo style action a whole lot better than Gunz.
