Title: Rose in the midst of Ring.
Description: It's a modern, school sorta thing. Sorta

VolpeNera - July 10, 2006 12:52 AM (GMT)
In the midst of a town called 'Ring' there is a school called 'Roses' that sits at the very center of the place. Now, Roses, despite the fact that it's in the VERY middle of the town, cannot be seen all the time. It is a school that only shows itself during the darkest of night and proves that it's opened by a long ringing of its school bell.

Ring doesn't really understand how Roses came into being and how it is only visible by night, so due to this fact, several parents try their best to keep their children from attending the school. Despite their efforts, kids of all ages end up sneaking out in the middle of the night to visit Roses. Those kids who end up being caught leaving to the place by their parents, are of course chased and hunted down; yet, if they can make the grounds of Roses, they seem to be safe.
Oddly enough, there is some sort of barrier that somehow keeps out the parents of Roses's attendants. It's odd how this happens and such, but it does happen and once inside the school the students are allowed to go about as they please. Yet, after they leave, they can't seem to remember what happened the day before; except for all the things they did in Rose. The parents, those who tried to dearly to stop their children from entering the place, forget that their kids even saw Rose. Odd, no?

The appearance Roses gives off outside is that of a high-school sort of building; hundreds of windows piling on top of one another with but some feet in-between to separate the classes, a large entrance/exit door with the words 'Roses' plated in silver on the very top, and of course the bell itself. Yes, the bell that rings true every night to indicate that class is staring sits on the very top of the building. It's a silver bell with the letter 'R' decored in the very center in red paint.
Inside the school the building looks completely different. Inside, it doesn't look like a school at all; more like a home, or a mansion. Once someone has entered the place they notice that the lobby is filled with different sorts of furniture and mini tables and small desks holding lamps and several other nick-knacks. If one explores the rooms, they will find bedrooms decored with the finest of beds, walls, pictures, and objects. Here and there one would come across a library or two, a small kitchen, and possibly a dinning room. Yet, all of the hallways have crimson carpeting and black walls dotted with several red rose designs.

No one seems to be in the building once one enters it except for the other kids of the neighborhood. How is this possible? Everything looks like it's been cleaned to perfection! Who could abandon such a beautiful place? Where did this place come from? Is it a school? A home? What?

This is basically a free-form roleplay. All the characters are, of course, 'student's of Rose. The setting starts in Rose. To decide on wither or not it's day or night, one should keep an eye out on my post for I will somehow tell when the time's are changing. The only thing I recommend to make this thread interesting is that one adds a bit of 'horror' in it all. You know, like a couple of things that might make a mystery or something scary that could happen to one's character. Make sure it's not too violent scary that it can give off nightmares, of course. Also, all of the students who enter Rose leave as soon as day breaks.
Ring's setting--the town--is that of a ring around a rather large lump of dirt and grass. The big lump is where Rose appears every night, surrounded by homes and small shops. Ring is a rather small town and has a rather small population. There is a local, normal, every Monday to Friday, eight hour, school--one that all students attend--that has been called Ring High (or Ring Elementary or Ring Middle, depending on the grade a particular student is in.)

Name: Maria Windsor.
Age: 15.
Grade: 10th.
Gender: Female.
Hair hue: Onyx.
Eye hue: The darkest of brown.
Height: 5'6.
Skin hue: Ivory.
Clothing: Usually Maria likes to wear things that are inappropriate. Upon her feet she wears tall, combat boots that reach up to her knees and cover half of her fish-net stockings. A skirt covers her lower area, one that is black and trimmed in a frilly, crimson sort of material. Her belt is that of a silver chain, a perfect match for her silver, hoop earrings and black leather collar with the silver cross dripping from its middle. Her upper area is covered in a very thin, black, strapless top that resembles that of a bathing-suit top. A white, button up, long-sleeved shirt is worn on top of the black top and is only buttoned up when attending Ring High. Upon her wrist she wears spiked bans and on her middle, right finger she has a sliver, rose designed ring. Her makeup, a thing she loves to apply, is that of ruby colored lipstick and dark, black eye shadow and very thin, black eyeliner with just a bit of blush on her cheeks.
Other: Maria loves her Pocky.

I must say, this is my first thread here, so do forgive me if I've done something horribly wrong.

Skipping along quietly down a rather small corredor, a miss Maria Windsor was humming the 'Ring around the Rosies' tune to herself as quietly as she possibly could. Currently, the girl was wandering about a corredor of unknown origin; even the building she was in had an unknown origin. It just suddenly appeared, this 'school'. School? Ha! It's not a school, it can't be! Just look at it! There's furniture downstairs and bedrooms upstairs! What sort of school has those things? A private school, like a college with inner dorm-rooms, maybe? No. Afraid not, for this building doesn't even have a single class-room--or at least Maria has yet to find it. Rose was what the building was called and from the outside it looked like Ring High, only bigger.
"No, this place is nothing like Ring High." Maria muttered to herself, shifting her gaze from the darkness before her to the wall to her left and then the wall to her right; each of which were covered in a black coating and dotted with little decors of red roses.

Maria Windsor, a girl no older then sixteen our younger then fourteen, lived in a town called Ring. During the day, Ring seems like a normal place. "But during the night..." she started, talking to herself--a thing she did quite often--"It's different! During the night, Rose shows itself...How can a building suddenly appear and then dissappear?" Yes, it was odd. Rose wasn't a perminent building of Ring. During the day, it was but a big space of dirt; during the night it was what it was currently, a 'school'.

"And there's no one about, either." Maria whispered to herself, flicking at the silver cross that dangled from the middle of her black, leather collar. A sigh escaped her lips and she quickly flicked several locks of her long, black hair from her shoulders. "Why isn't there anyone here?"
