Title: Skins
xliunx - February 7, 2007 07:12 AM (GMT)
I would like to request that more skin options be offered, because red and black are generally hard on the eyes. Yellow, orange, and brighter colors tend to have the same effect. Blues, greens, and other pale colors, however, are soothing to the eyes.
I noticed that when choosing a skin, there were a lot of choices but they were all the same, so this could mean the skins are already in the process of being posted and in which case, I apologize for my impatience.

All of the skins should work (with exception of one which makes the text black on black for one browser program.. forgot which one). The colorscheme has to have red in it or it wouldn't be AnimeRed. The skins include a scheme that's a white bg with red and black lettering/borders. And Halloween is bright orange on grey.
I can't see how I could make a blue and white skin without having the title of the forum be something like AnimeBlue or AnimeWhite.
=P Unless you found some other skin choosing option, the main skin chooser is the one scrollbar at the very bottom of the page.

Well, you could make an all blue skin and still call it Anime Red. o_o It'd be bold! Like a fashion statement! And the supreme irony of it all would surely make this place the coolest of cool. :o

Poff, that sorta blue skin would reek havok on my photophobia and practically make my eyes bleed something feirce.
Hey, there IS a new skin option in control pannel. I really wish IF would've sent me an e-ml or something to tell me that. Oh well. Like I said, to change skins I put a code into the forum for a scrollbar to appear at the bottom of every page saying 'change skin'. Change it there and see if any of those are to your liking =]

Ah! Thank you for the notification of that. I would've never noticed that little thing on the bottom. >_>
I think Touch of Red is most ideal for me. Only thing that makes it difficult to read is that since the links are dark, whenever the links are in a place outside of the white boxes, they don't really show up against the black background (i.e.: The trail of links that shows you which section -> thread you're in). But, I guess other than me, people must not really use those links so it's okay.
Thanks!

I'm still in process of editing up CrystalCrimson, DevilStare, and Touch of Red. Not only to fix those little color glitches, but also to make the text size for them bigger (except ToR, I think I'll leave that with dinky fonts so people can complain)
I Could've SWORN I put in something about skin location in FAQ. But bloody all I can't find it if I did. My best bet is to find where to edit the control pannel skin option in admindom one day and to throw the skins in there. Or get off my butt and edit in a new Faq part. Or both. Yeah, I Could always consider doing both.
Btw, Halloween is my parody for AnimeRed. Last halloween I made AnimeRed into AnimeOrange for fun =D

Whatever you do, please DON'T do an AnimePink for Valentines Day... I would refuse to come to the site if you did that..
