If you're a fan of the insane comedies, with a hint of romance, this is an awesome manga for you.

The basic premise is:
At a school for the super rich, Haruhi, a poor student who got in the school by studying very hard, is trying to find a quiet place to study. Instead of finding quiet and tranquility in the 3rd music room, Haruhi finds a Host Club instead. An all male club that dedicates themselves to entertaining females. Stumbling around, Haruhi accidentally breaks a vase worth about 8 million dollars, so to pay them back, he must join the Host Club himself.

Problem is, Haruhi's a girl. She still acts as a male host, and the rest of the club strive to keep her secret.


There is an anime that is unlicensed. Unfortunately, there are only 26 episodes of the entire series, which was a total bummer. Hopefully, the manga will keep going, as it's one of my favorite series.

oO wanted to ask you how popular this anime is? I mean, can I find it at any store? Or will I have to dl it off the net. oo and do you think it would have any possible chance of getting released to libraries?

Umm... I think the anime was just licensed, so whether it's even in stores now is questionable. Probably easier to find somewhere to download.

Looking at IMDB.com, Funimation, who bought the license to Ouran High School hasn't even picked a cast of characters for the voice overs. So, you probably won't find even the first disc translated anywhere until late spring of 08 if you're lucky. If you're okay with fansubbed.. you can download it where ever you prefer.. or you can buy it at www.Animeniacs.com. Considering the first episode (and so far the entire series) is only 26 eps long, it'll probably only be on about 2 discs, so you can buy the series for about $20 (plus S&H) at the website.
