It's a game made entirely of Haikus.
If you forgot: a Haiku is a stanza/poem made of 3 lines (or parts of a sentence). line one is 5 syllables, line two is 7 syllables, and line three is 5 syllables.
You can write it here
in this fashionable way
hit Enter three times
Or you can write here / in a full sentence like this / with breaks in between.
The purpose of the game is to write out a story post by post. So basically continue the story where the last person left off with your own haiku. However, and there is a however, never end a haiku in an open sentence. ie 'I can give a full - ' or 'and he was saying -". That's the only real rule out side of making sure the haiku has the correct number of syllables.
I'll start the story:
In a village far away
lived a deadly food.
Well, Haiku's are supposed to embody the essence of the natural world and the kami which endow it, therefore, i will make one with deep intelectual meaning.
Longing for spring
For life to resume again
An old tree waiting
ohh, what now? Inspired by the tree outside my patio... XD
The limb of that tree
Held a withered, old red fruit
Delicious in taste
A Little boy came
Saw the withered, old red fruit
Started to Climb the tree
