I usually don't put threads like this in the teahouse, but since Adult swim was ORIGINALLY anime... Well... you know.

They signed rights of Futurama over to ComedyCentral and are now 100% craptastic. Did anyone catch that? People on the AS forum completely blew up and most of the AS fandom left all in one sweep. They replaced Futurama with American Dad, but noone wants to watch it. This is topping the fact that AS replaced all good shows with absolute low budget crap that noone can sit and watch at any given moment during the weekdays.

And that's the weekdays, the weekends are still alright. I'll give them credit for showing new animes. But they should seriously return to doing that during week days.

So... Can anyone think of a reason why CN would do the dumbest thing by selling the ONLY good show they have on AdultSwim? What do you think will happen next?

Well.. as I wasn't really a fan of Futurama that doesn't change much for me.

CN has gone the way of Disney channel, MTV, and Nickelodeon. Started out great with good stuff, but slowly gave in to commercialism. "If we make it numb enough, then the masses will like it, and screw that we cut into our own morals and values.. We just want the money"

I watch CN for one thing only. Robot Chicken. Otherwise, it usually isn't even on that channel.

Hey now... Nick and Disney have actually improved as of late - Before CN made an Epic Fail. Avatar came out and that cartoon is awesome (though the games Nick made for it suck, but that's nothing new). Disney has come up with some great cartoons as well, like Kim Possible. The only cartoons I've seen that have sucked were the ones on CN, in all honesty. Most of the cartoons that are CN exclusive are very cheap and down right sucky - not only on Adult Swim but on the regular channel as well.

I hope Adult Swim eventually returns to its Anime roots.

When I still occassionally watch tv, I've watched adult swim for some of it's older original shows. Most of the new ones suck. About all I like now are Robot Chicken and Metalocolypse. >_>a I think the rest of the shows are for people who get high all of the time. :oa

So, does anyone have any idea what CN has been up to with Adult Swim? Occasionally I find anime on it, but I have no idea how they've balanced their week out without Futurama. I've mainly stuck to Comedy Central now to, of course, see it.
