Hey, is it me or has there been an increase in pirate and ship films in the last 5 years? XD And I'm not just talking about the recent movie craze going around.

People think it started with Pirates of the Caribean. The one film - though i haven't seen it - that brought the recent oldschool ship sailors film.

But then you must remember stuff like Castaway and, Yes, MontiCristo. XD I personally thought MontiCristo was the start to HighSea films since people loved that part of the movie..

oO Still, were there other sailor films that eclipsed the last 3 to 5 years?

XD OH YEAH, And don't forget OnePiece - the first real anime pirate film I've ever seen. That happened in the last 3 years too and is UBER popular!

oo do you guys think it's just me, or are pirates and crewmates making a comeback in today's movie and motion picture/animation/film Society?

Seems like a lot of these type of films lately. I haven't heard of OnePiece before...what's it like?

One Piece is an anime. Bout... Pirates... It's pretty popular in Japan and.. everywhere else but america. But it's coming 1 day.. XD dread dubs.

Yah, I'm actually sortof looking forward to the new Peter Pan movie, it looks more realistic than the other goofball ones, not that they were bad, either, though. I kinda liked the one with Robin Williams in it. (I don't think he's one of the best acters out there for good movies that he's been in, but he's alright)

I saw something about another "high seas" movie, not pirates I don't think :P , but like KK said, basically the same genre. It does look like it's becoming popular. :P Maybe pretty soon that old show "Pirates of the black sea" will come back on. I don't think that's its name, but it was a fantasy cartoon with this black evil goobery stuff in the water, I liked that show. :D *misses it* Anyone else seen it before?

XD dude, I remember this one pirates cartoon... I completely forgot what it was called.. but there was a guy as the main charrie.. and a gypsie like woman for hte other part.. and in one of hte eps the main charrie puts on a creepy coat and becomes a drake thing =P I'd laugh my ass off if they brought that back...

yeah, they are gunna bring back some pirates show and premiere it with 2 new eps. or movies... or something. on tv.. this coming sunday.. I'll have to figure out which channel and watch ^^

ok, now that I'm done with that. XD Yeah, there seem to be a lot of ship movies coming out. I haven't seen the add for the new PeterPan movie. I hope it's good. :)
I liked Hook, it was a good PeterPan movie, I thought.
I've seen the One Peice movie, it was alright, just like a long episode though.

I remember that cartoon! it was Pirates of the Dark Water! I've seen it occasionaly very late at night/early early morning. ^__^

Rin, Tula, Ioz, Niddler (monkey bird) .... It was a fun cartoon. Maybe they will put it back on with the pirate thing being popular lately...

Cool! So it's still on, just as one of those late night/or some other unimaginable time, eh? Hehe, like the limbo hour, where it's on too late at night to tell the time, but it's there! I remember duckman was on at something like 2:00 in the morning, then when I saw it again, it didn't seem as appealing. :/ ohwell. But I'm sure Pirates of the Dark Water would still be cool, thanks Elsie. :P

Yeah, it does seem like pirates are on a comeback... Not that it's a bad thing... At least once in your life, you've had to have wanted to wear an eyepatch, run around saying "Arrr!" and get one of those pirate boat and go looting for treasure... Sounds like fun... I should go get me a crew and do that... :P

Oh, I remember Pirates of Dark Water, I still have some of the action figures from that. XD It was a cool show, too bad they never got to the end of it.
