I know I don't really have to say that this movie kicked ass. I'll say it anyway, though...
THIS MOVIE OWNS!
I wouldn't have expected any less, and it was delivered.
Here is my advice for this flick: take a leak before you go in... it is sort of long and there are no major breaks in the story that you will want to walk out for.
I'm giving it a 5/5 for my scoring.
I would see it again in the theatre.
I will buy it on DVD.
I would watch it on cable.
I would recommend it to everyone.

I can't hardly wait to see it. :) I'll have to be careful not to drink too much, I don't want to miss a moment. Is it longer than the previous?

Yea, it's a good 45 minutes to an hour longer than the first ones I belive, but I might be mistaken, I do know that it's longer though. It was a really good movie.

Otherwise, it's good. Except for the scourging of the book, which didn't happen! *chuckles to himself* I was being sarcastic. ;)

the movie was pretty good except for certain creatures that appeared that i totally hate with a passion and the fact that when i wanted it to end it didn't end and pulled a Amastad/Titanic on me. i still have to see the second one though. >_< i know i'm backwards.

I've been having these pains on my ass the past few days for sitting in the uncomfortable theatre seats for 3 hours and 35 minutes long. >.>
Other than that, it was an excellent movie; many parts of the movie consist of surprises and exciting scenes, but many movies have their own surprising and exciting scenes as well.

It was wonderful. The scenery and graphics and all was beautiful. Aragorn was as handsome as ever. The seat was comfy. I did have to use the bathroom half way through the movie, because I was drinking some pepsi. I went to the bathroom when it finished, like and hour or so later, lol. So if you can hold it in that long drink, if not only take sips. :P I will definitely buy this on DVD too.

Ah yes...the scenery and graphics was great, I really liked all the battle scenes and such.

:D I saw it and I didn't have to get up even once! I made sure I was a bit dehydrated going in. lol.and I didn't have snacks and drinks during the movie. My chair was reasonably comfy but the floor was a bit sticky.
Hmm...the battles were awsome. and the scene where Legolas swarmed up that elephant thing was great, should show more Legolas action. :) Sam was really heroic, I don't think Frodo could've made it without him. That spider was really creepy, so lifelike. And I loved the ending, so emotional, almost cried. Its really a great movie, so much awsomeness everywhere. I want to see the extended version when it comes out on dvd. :)

Also seen it long ago when, well, it came out...
My two cents in here... If you suffer minor motion sickness, don't see it on a HUGE screen in the first row.. about 30 minutes to an hour through it I just got so dizzy and claustrophobic that I had to take a 10 minute break from the movie... So I missed out on some stuff...
Other than that, it makes for a good movie.. Just make sure to see the first two the night befor eyou watch it XD
