Description: Movies of the New Year. ^^

What movies of 2004 are you looking forward to? I'm definitely gonna see Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, I mean who wouldn't?! If it turns out good, then I'm happy...if it turns out bad...then I'll be able to make an "interesting" review of it.

Issue13 - January 7, 2004 09:52 PM (GMT)
Kill Bill Vol 2 --- Seriously.. the first one was awesome.
X-Men 3, Spider Man 2 --- hell yeah.. can't go wrong
Resident Evil 2 -- knock the first one if you, but I'm stoked
Star Wars III -- Gotta be better than the first and all trilogies need a "dark" chapter.. so this should be it.. like Empire Strikes Back dark

Look at that! No new movies... all sequals.

Saizo - January 7, 2004 11:52 PM (GMT)
lol They may be all sequels...but sequels of great movies! I'm planning on checking out Spiderman 2 and X-Men 3 as well; I don't know if I'll check out Resident Evil 2...but I guess when the trailers get on TV, I'll decide whether I'd enjoy the movie or not. Trailers don't say much about the movie though...

The RE2 Trailer is awesome... I won't ruin it for you, but I saw it and was totally stoked. They showed it before Freddy Vs. Jason in my town.

Hmm...what that statement, I feel like I should dl the trailer rather than wait for it on TV. lol
In any case, I'm sure there are a lot of great movies in the upcoming year so...post people, post! XD

I believe the Ring 2 is coming out, so I am excited for that~!!!!

I can't wait for Harry Potter 3 to come out too. RE2 looks scary....ahh, so many scary movies!

Saizo - January 11, 2004 04:42 PM (GMT)
THere are so many scary movies because...they're the best! XD

The Ring...I recently found out that they were only Americanizing the Japanese movie known as "The Ringu", sound familiar?

Well, in any case, I haven't checked out The Ringu, I just saw it in a trailer of this one anime I rented; I can't wait for The Ring 2! Although, I wonder if they already have The Ringu 2 in Japan. o.O

Issue13 - January 11, 2004 05:36 PM (GMT)
I had a copy of Ringu last year.... And it started as a graphic novel/manga... there was a video game... then the movie in Japan.. the the American version.

I have a new movie to add: The Butterfly Effect. I hate Ashton Kutcher.. or however it is spelled, though this movie looks awesome. It might even change my opinion about that scrub actor... just like 12 Monkeys did with my opinion of Brad Pitt. Anyway, check out "The Butterfly Effect"

Since we're mentioning more movies, how about The Whole Ten Yards? lol I just saw a trailer of it on TV and I thought that it deserves some mentioning. Should be a good movie if you're a fan of friends, or if you at least like Chandler.

Kill Bill Vol 2 - The first one was good, I want to see the rest.
Spiderman 2 - It's Spiderman, how can you go wrong?
X-Men 3 - Liked the first two, hope this is good as well.
HP3 - Third book was good and the previews look nice, so I want to go see it. Besides... it has Snape in a dress. :P
Star Wars III - I like Star Wars, though the last two weren't that great, I'm still going to go see it.

Speaking of The Butterfly Effect, I just saw a trailer of it, and it looks interesting; I must admit, Ashton Kutcher isn't all that great IMO as well, but this movie looks like something I'd like to watch.

Spider-man and X-men should be good! : )

Yea, but pretty much all movies are remakes of other things. I'm not very stoked about KillBill. To me, the first one sucked. There could've been some good things, but the whole thing just looks too fake, like a charlies angels movie.

Can't go wrong with xmen3 or spiderman 2, though, like you said. I don't really like how they ended xmen2, it felt to me like they were taking the easy way out of hinting to a sequel. Spiderman 2 looks alot better in that regard.

I don't want to see HP3 though. They could've been alot better at doing the first two, but this one is just going to be really bad. And look how long it's taking them to pop them out. LOTR and matrix was finnished like lightspeed compared to harry pothead and these starwars ones.

Resident Evil isn't supposed to be horror. It's kinda like that, but the first one wasn't horror. Even if they had some of the same obvious elements to make it a horror film, it wasn't made the same way. I will probably see RE2 someday, but I'm not going to go to the movies for it. And if they do make it some lame horror movie, then I'm not going to see it at all.
