Well, I didn't come up with this story all by myself like I usually do with my other stories...but it turned out pretty good and I've gotten pretty good reviews from my friends. Anyway, some ideas are probably from LotR...Bahamut Lagoon, and Chrono Trigger...but with an addition of my own twist. Basically, this is like a fan fic...have fun reading anyway. XD
Here it is:

Prologue: Planet Daiku

It was a cool and breezy night in Kaitari City, the main city of the world known as Daiku. Kaitari City was inhabited by winged creatures, demi-dragons, demi-humans, elves, dwarves, and the most inferior of beings according to the higher beings: humans. Each race was respected according to rank; humans were the lowest. Most humans had to live out in the streets; while others had houses, but were either renting a room or housekeeping a noble’s house. Demi-dragons—dragons who have taken a human form except for their heads—were considered the second lowest. Although they are also treated with some respect, they are frowned upon for their inability to shape-shift back into their dragon forms. Winged creatures looked exactly like humans, except for their angelic wings and fancy clothes of course. Demi-humans—human-like creatures who have taken an animal form of some sort—were second highest; dwarves were in the middle rank because of their wealth and greedy intentions. Elves were naturally the highest; they run Kaitari City and have great wisdom.
Now that the creatures and people of Kaitari have been introduced, it’s time to explain certain things about the city. Kaitari City is usually known as “the Floating City of Wisdom.” It is known as this because the wisest of living beings—elves—are the majority of its population. Due to the emperor’s power—who is, no doubt, an elf—the city floats in the Sky. The Sky is known as a sacred place in Daiku. Many other villages and cities are located in the Sky, but most of the planet’s inhabitants live on the surface of the planet. They are usually the villages that have no elves or they do have an elf, but is too weak to make the city "fly".
The “Inferior,” or the ones who live on the surface of Daiku were and still are being disrespected. They are treated with no respect by the “Gifted,” or those high enough in rank to live on a floating home. The “Inferior” have always been made fun of, used as target practice, scammed, and all the possible evil things one can to another. They were usually powerless to stop them because the “Inferior” mostly consisted of humans. Humans suffered a horrible fate in Daiku…Will they ever find a way to stop the ruthless ruling of the Emperor of Daiku?

I have Chapter 1 set up and trying to type Chapter 2 and 3 on the comp...I wrote most of it in my spare time at school...classes are so boring. >.>
