The local tavern, complete with cutthroats, drunks, and the occasional depressed businessman trying to get over his long estraiged spouse. Theres a dartboard in the back, and anyone looking to start a brawl has come to the right place, so long as the waiters don't catch you.

*Kai walked into the tavern. Glad to get inside and out of the sun. He sat down at a table and ordered several orders off of the menu. The waitress looked at him oddly, wondering if he could really eat all of that, then shrugged and walked off to get his order.*

Half of the Karnage pirate gang walked into the tavern together, all of them sitting down at various tables, a total of four table occupied. One, how appeared to be the first mate walked up to the counter and looked at the bartender. "How much sake do ye have?" he asked in a threatening tone, but never raised his voice, but spoke rather softly and quietly, which made it seem even more serious. The rest of the gang was in the background, resting their heads on one arm, or playing with a dagger, etc, all looking at the bartender with dark glares.

We... have four cases of sake. Would you like me to get them for you? *The bartender said, looking frightened.*
*Kai kept his head down, trying to keep from being noticed. He'd never felt this nervous around other pirates before, he wasn't even quite sure why he was so nervous.*
*The waitress quickly came by and set down some ale and food in front of Kai, then quickly made her way out of sight of the other pirates.*

"Yeah." the man said quietly and dropped a large bag onto the counter, it landing with a dull thud, sounding that it was full of money. He turned to go back to the table, and as he did so, he turned Kai's direction, Kai's necklace evident around his neck for a brief instant before he walked over and sat down.

*Kai had started eating, he happened to glance up when the other pirate turned around and saw the necklace around the pirate's neck. Kai nearly choked. It was his necklace! The one Kon had taken from him. He was the only one with that necklace, he was certain. Kon must have given it to the man, which meant.... this was Kon's pirate crew.*

The bartender had to make several trips to carry out the cases to the gang, and promptly scurried back behind the counter when done. They all brok into the casesm and began to cgug the sake, still quietly...

*Kai quietly ate, glancing up now and then to see if he might have been mistaken. Maybe it wasn't his necklace. Maybe... though he was almost certain it was. The silver figure hanging from the chain was the same dragon and style as the tattoos on his arms, no one else would have that. Now the problem was... how to get it back?*

"Mumble mumble SnakeFang mumble mumble..." was all that could reach Kai, along with some laughter.

*Kai looked up from his table. He'd heard the name of his old pirate group mentioned. Then laughter following it. He tried to keep from glaring and went back to eating. Oh, he was going to find some way to get his necklace back. He wasn't going to let those jerks have it.*
*Kai finished eating. He was going to find some way, after he found out how to get the collar off. He got up and left the tavern.*

The first mate suddenly became quiet and a serious look came across his face. He leaned over and whispered something to another mate, who promptly left the tavern after Kai... The rest of the gang went on drinking and chatting happily as if nothing happened...

*Kai walked in with the other pirate. The man asked him what he thought about the pirate who turned Marine. Since that was supposively him, he made up yet another response.*
I dun see how any pirate could join those bastards like that. Ye'd have t' be an idiot. *Funny think was, he actually meant what he said, since he didn't join the Marines by free will.*

"I dunno either matey, but that's what happened..." he shook his head in disgust as they sat down. "Waitress! We'll have two of, um... What do ye want?" he asked looking over at Kage, the waitress doing the same.

Ale be good. *He said as he sat down at the table.* So about this kid who turned turncoat... why does anyone care much about him? He strong 'r something?

"Naw, I hear he be rather weak. But dun ye know the unwritten code?" he asked, sounding surprised.

*He nodded.* Aye, I know the code. Just seems like ye be worring t' much about some little kid.

"Bah, not like any of us are actively huntin him...." he laughed. "Just if we see him, he'll be punished on the spot..."

Ah, I see. Hope ye catch the little bastard. What's the dicription ye have of him? Ye said I looked a bit like him?
~good thing this guy believed that I wasn't me. 'Tis going t' be hard t' become a pirate again, me thinks.~

"Actually just lik ye..." he said with a shrug. "But his name be Kai..." he laughed. The wiatress arrived with the ale, and the man chugged some down.

Ah... well that's not good fer me. I dun want t' be mistaken fer some traitor. *He took his mug of ale and took a long swig.*

As Kage was putting the mug down, another gruff looking man walked past and froze in his tracks, doing a double take. "******er!" he yelled out, drawing his sword.

"What be the problem?" Kage's new friend asked quickly.

"That be the one called Kai!" he yelled out, poiting at Kage.

*He tried to play like he was annoyed that someone else said he was Kai.*
Ye idiot, I'm not Kai. *He took a swig of ale* Now put yer sword down.

"Oh really." the new man said sarcastically and threw an artist rendering of Kai on the table. Kage's new friend did a double take and jumped to his feet, away from Kai, also drawing his sword.

~shit, so much fer pretending t' not be me.~
*He stood up from his chair and backed away.*
I'm no traitor. Ye can't believe what they say about me. I'm as much a pirate as any of ye.

"Show yer back then!" one yelled as he approached slowly, sword drawn. "

~****ing Kon! I'm going t' kill him fer putting that tattoo on me back.~
*Kai glared at the two, then turned an started running for the back door.*

A huge muscular man about Worf's size stepped right in Kai's path, knocking the much smaller boy to the ground. Without saying anything, he picked Kai up by the neck and threw his across the room into a table. The table broke under the force of the blow as Kai slammed into it.

Agh! *Kai hit the table hard. His back and side hurting now. He was now on the ground, between the two broken halves of the table. He sat up painfully, glaring at the men. He couldn't fight against them, they had swords while he had no weapons what-so-ever.*

"Ye chose the wrong town to visit...." one said as he pulled Kai up roughly. "Yeah, this be pirate controlled...." another said and then punched Kai in the stomach hard, the other man still holding Kai up.

*His arms crossed over his stomach. Holding it in pain, though also trying to ease any other blows that they might hit him with.* I'm not a Marine...

"Damned lyer..." he said and landed another punch. The man holding Kai dropped him to the ground as another man approached with some rope.

*Kai lay on the ground, moaning a little in pain.* I'm not lying! I've been set up t' look like a Marine! -.-

Two men held kai as his hands were tied together, and a rope was tied to it, much like a leash. "Baka, you expect us to believe a lier like ye?" one asked with a laugh. After ripping his shirt off, they dragged him outside.

*He sat down at a table and looked back at the woman curiously and with a slightly worried look. She was really hyper and liked his accent for some reason.* Uh... thanks... ye like pirates then? *A waitress then came over and started taking their orders. Kai ordered about half the menu and a mug of rum.*

Oh yes, very much! :-:Sits across from him at the table, making herself comfortable, crossing one leg over the other. She's...sort of in shock from Kai's order and so she can only mumble the word 'tea' very quietly because of it. Blinks and clears her throat, shaking her head.:-: Wow. Have you not eaten for a hell of a long time or are you just a growing boy? :-:Seems a little flabbergasted almost.. before folding her hands together on the table.:-: ...ooh. So I guess you don't wanna give me your name, do you? :-:Seems almost sulky and she looks at him, eyes twinkling faintly.:-:

Eh... I suppose both. I haven' eaten since yesterday, I'd concider that a long time. Oh, an' me name's Kaitou, though most people call me Kai. *He still wondered if he wanted to tell this woman much, but she didn't seem that bad, so he decided he could put up with her.*

Only... since yesterday? Should I get used to this each time I bump into you then? :-:Laughs quietly.:-: It's good to meet you, Kai. My name... is Seirei. You can call me.. well. That, really. :-:Shrugs a little, toying with a strand of hair from her ponytail.:-: Kinda funny how you sound like a pirate. This place is generally big Marine-wise, isn't it? I hear there's a base not far from here? Does it ever get dangerous?

Aye, thar be a Marine base nearby, but fer the most part this town has pirates. Ye see Marines around every so often, but ye dun see them alone usually. An' yeah, I usually eat this much when I eat out. *He grinned, waiting happily for the food to arrive.*

Wow! You must really have some major growth spurt comin' or something, Kai. :-:Smiles, reaching over only to attempt a gentle shove in the shoulder.:-: So Marines are scaredy cats around here because they don't like all the pirates around or something? Are the pirates terribly... well, terrible.. or is it the Marines that cause the most trouble? :-:Pauses.:-: ...are you a pirate, Kai?

*The waitress came by with a few plates of food and Kai grinned. He then spoke inbetween bites of food.* The pirates around here can be bad sometimes... though I think the Marines just be afraid of us. *He took a few more bites and answered her last question.* Aye, I be a pirate... I just dun have a crew right now...
