The Grotto Inn is a place to rest for anyone willing to pay to stay there.

Worf walked into the inn and nodded to the clerk at the desk who poited down the hallway. Worf walked into one of the rooms, shutting the door behind him, and laid Kai on the bed. He pulled out some bandages and herbs and went to work fixing the wounded boy up.

*The soft bed and the herbs Worf put on his wounds were comforting. Kai looked up at the very tall man.* What're ye doing here? How'd ye find me?

"Some men saw ya sail off towards this island...." he said, shaking his head. "You shoulda known ya wouldn't be welcome here anymore. Ts a pirate haven..."

I.... I didn' think they'd know I was a Marine. Besides, I know a few people here... *he sighed* I'm not going t' be able t' become a pirate again, am I? *sounding depressed.*

"Heh, just make the best of it." he said and finished up with the bandaging. "We're above the law now ya'know...." he chuckled happily.

Yeah... I guess *He sounded a little happier, but his face didn't show it at all.* That reminds me... Kon, he's a pirate, at least I'm pretty sure he is.

"Ahhh, the age old speculation...." he chuckled. "Son, no one really knows, and Kon's the best marine out there...." he smiled.

How did those pirates have me necklace... it was the one Kon had taken from me. No one else has a necklace like that! He had t' have given it t' them.

"Are ya sure it was exactly the same? As in did you get to hold it and look at it good?" he asked, starting to get annoyed Kai was doubting his commanding offcier whom he respected.

I'm certain! It looked just like the tattoos on me arms, but no, I didn' get close t' it. I just know it was me necklace... *He looked up at Worf.* Speaking of tattoos... what of the one on me back?

"Before I tell ya, you better know how much respect Kon has. He has all the people from the surrounding towns, the marines everywhere, myself including, all respect and follow him unquestioningly. Ya best learn that respect." he said seriously, eying Kai before looking at his back again. "Still intact, they didn't touch it."

*Hearing of both, he just set his head down on the pellow, feeling even more depressed. He'd given them the chance to get rid of the tattoo and all the other pirates did was use it to torture him. Then there was Kon, who it seemed was always going to be in power.*
I suppose I should just give up and be Kon's pet then? Doesn't seem like I'll ever have me freedom back...

"Ya won't with that attitude...." Worf sighed. "You've been doing great and making great progress lately. Just keep that up and he'll notice ya."

*He didn't say what he was thinking, though it was along the lines of Kon already noticing him and making his life misserable.*
I think I'll just go t' sleep... *Still in a bad mood and feeling like things were hopeless. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.*

"Yeah, you've been through a lot today..." Worf said as he stretched out on the floor, falling asleep after awhile.

*Kai woke up, still not feeling that great. His back still hurt and the same went for a few toes on his left foot. He sat up painfully, all the slashes down his back and sides protesting.*
*Then there was a loud grumbling noise.* ~Hmm... wonder if thar's any food around here?~

The floor was rather hard, so Worf took full advantage of his powers and turned back into the panther... He had curled up on the floor and fell asleep fast. Even Kai's grumbling stomach couldn't wake the huge panther...

*Kai looked down at the sleeping panther on the floor, not afraid, since he knew it was Worf. He poked Worf with his right foot, still sitting on the bed and not wanting to get up.* Hey, wake up.

In Worf's dream, a large steak had somehow came alive and was dancing about, taunting him. It would run up and poke him every now and then and then run back laughing. When Kai poked the sleeping panther, Worf suddenly bit the foot and sucked on it lightly. Even the bite wasn't hard as he was still asleep...

Agh!!! Let go of me foot!! >< *Nearly having a heart attack when Worf suddenly bit his foot. He quickly tried to yank it away.*

Somehow the steak got away and was back to taunting him again. This time he tried to swipe at it with his claws, but the damned thing kept dodging it and he swiped the air. In reality he really was clawing at the air where Kai's leg once was, but was completely missing since Kai was still on the bed....

Eek! *He crawled back further on the bed.* Worf! Wake up and stop trying to eat me! ><

Catching onto the blanket hanging off the bed, Worf pulled it down and began to lick and chew it, purring as he slept.

Worf! *He looked at him, it didn't look like he was going to wake up anytime soon. Well, there was one option. If he could get Woft to touch the collar he had on, he'd turn back into himself. Though to do that, he'd practically have to hug the huge cat.*

Worf continued to purr, happily chewing the poor blanket as he slept...

*Kai crawled over to the edge of the bed and looked down at Worf. He sighed, then tackled the big cat, putting his neck to the cat's back so the collar would touch him.*

The sudden drain of his powers made Worf change back into his normal form, which of course woke him up. "Huh, whaaaa?" he muttered sleepily.

*Kai let go of him and pushed himself back onto the bed.* Ye were trying t' eat me, so I made ye touch me collar. -.- *He pointed at the saliva on his right foot.*

Worf looked sleepily at the dripping foot. "Oh, that explains the dream I had..." he chuckled a bit and sat up. "How ye doin?"

Me back hurts, me toes hurt, and I'm starving. Can we go get something t' eat already? *He grinned.*

"Sounds good." he stood up. "That dream made me hungry...." he laughed. "I know just where we should go."

I bet. What were ye dreaming about anyway? Ye were sucking on me foot. -_^ And where are we going t' eat at? *sounding a bit excited about that.*

"Ye'll see...." he grinned and started to go outside, seeing if Kai was able to walk ok.

*If it were for anything else, he wouldn't have been able to walk, but since it was for food, he got up and hobbled after Worf.* Ye dun think I could get a shirt, t'? I dun think these bandages make fer a good shirt..

"Heh, ye be right..." he laughed and tossed Kai his overcoat, leaving only a tanktop which made his muscles look even bigger. "Come on, let's go." he said and promptly left the inn.
