Acen will be here in a few months so here is a heads up. It's May 14-16 in the Chicagoland area at the Hyatt Regency at O'hare. This will be the seventh year they have held this. I will be going for the second time this year. It's really nice there. The hotel was very nice and the spacing was not too crowded at all. They will have things like the AMV contest and video screenings all day of various types of anime. The guests are pretty decent too. They have a lot of people from the ADV dubs come out. The dub voice for Hyatt from Excel Saga Monica Rial will be back and the voice of Goku from Saiyuki ,Greg Ayres will be back. (He had made a little surprize visit last year. He was very cool and even gave out autographs. Go see him :P) Last year they had the director of Big O come in which was awesome. Those quest also participate in guest panals where you can get tickets to cut the autograph lines. (Yes they are worth it!) Also present there last year were video game rooms and card game rooms (like Magic). The dealer's room was also sweet. It's a really nice con to go to. If you can make it out go for it! The hotel might be booked at the moment though. You can check the site to be sure. Tickets are $40 now. If you get 10 people you can get a discount. 20 people will get a bigger discount I think. You should definately check it out. I will be sending an AMV there this year and hopefully it'll get past the prejudging this year. Just another add on...if you are a Read or Die fan come to this convention cause a lot of the people behind it will be there.

The Pillows will be performing at ACen 05 if nothing happens to them before the con. The US guests are just about the same but they are nice people. There is also a chance of my AMV being played during the contest again so if you want to see it go. It will be from May 13th-15th this time.

Too many stupid people and old hairy men that dress like sailor moon and Fay Valentine. But The Pillows! I mean, LIVE!! Damn me for not being able to afford going to chicago, getting a hotel, getting a ticket, plus some spending money for the dealer's room. Damn it all! I'm gonna go brood now. <_<

Well...if you were super serious and on a limb there are only 3 people in the hotel room right now. Hell two more people can fit in there without any major conflicts. If the boys says it's alright they could spare another person. (It would cut down costs as well. lol) Yes they are coming if no one croaks or something before that. There is nothing the matter with Sailor Bubba or Cardcaptor Will. ;)

Ah, well that solves the hotel. Now I just need $500 for the rest....damn. It doesn't really matter anymore. I'm not going to be able to make it. Hell, I'm not even going to be able to make it to the con in Colorado. I'm too poor to go to cons.

Just a little update Steve Blum is supposed to be there now. They also added more Japanese guest some which did work on Sailor Moon. (YAY)

Well, unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make it. Not even if I wanted to. Barring, knocking over a gas station, that is. Depending on what's happening there next year, though, I'll try to make it.

Chicago. So close to Detroit, yet so far away. :( I'd love to go but I don't have the money and its right smack dab in the middle of my spring semester. Other than that I'd Loooove to go.

New news on me going to ACen! Both good and bad! Let's start with the good. Looking at my finacial situation, it's possible for me to go! Looking at my schedual, it turns out my sister graduates on the 14.

@Corn: You can always come on that Sunday for the half day but you would miss a good chunk of it. There is still stuff to do though. :D

I wish I could, but I'd be getting on a plane in the early AM, then leaving the same day in the mid/late afternoon. six hours on a plane, and 2 hours on the road to and from the airport for about 6-8 hours of con is almost worth it, but not quite. Sometimes I really hate living in Colorado.

But next year I promise to come. I swear I'll be there when the con opens. And I always keep my promises.

ACen 06 Pre-reg has already begun. You can get your badges pre-ordered for $35 until Feb. After that the prices will go up. Hotel reservations haven't started yet but be on the look out.

They changed the dates for next year more too. It's going to happen May 5-7th.

Oh and if you want to enter an AMV they have two contests this year. They have the normal contest and a seperate contest for Theme since entries are getting too low.

Damn, I'm in the same boat as Raiji, it's almost like a hop sipk and a jump away. Serious like 1-2 hour drive, but I don't have funds or a car. I missed L'Arc~en~Ciel at Otacon not I'll miss the pillows. /tear

It's back. It's the 10th year. I don't know if I am going but they say it's supposed to be the best one yet. (So far the ROD year was the best one I been to so far so I would like to see who they are going to bring first.)

T_T Rein & I were supposed to go this year... but seeing that we're really low on funds right now, I don't think we'll be able to make it...

So a friend of mine befriended someone who will drive us all down. I want to go but I'll most likely won't have money for a hotel just the convention. :P So I may or may not go at this point.

I can't. I'm dead broke with no tax refund this year. :( I'm going to miss the power rangers.
