This is pretty easy... List your fav (specific) game music? Like a characters' theme or some various song in a game. If you know the original title of the music, post the title too. Also Put what game it's from. Why the original title and what game? So we can dl it and listen to it *nodnod*


K, seriously, my fav game music is like this:

1. (Arc the Lad - Twilight of the Spirits) Zev's theme - also called "mysterious old man". Seriously fits the charrie, gets the game moving, And is just the coolest game music for the coolest charrie.

2. (FF6) Terra's theme. Honestly don't know the actual title to it if it isn't Terra's Theme XD. Lewi got me the song, never played FF6. Don't even know if that's the right name. Good theme, though.

3. (FF7) One Winged Angel (the orchestral version). I like the song itself, beyond ALL, but I like the orchestra playing it SO much more. ^^ they include everything in the song in the orchestral version.

4. (GuiltyGearX) Baiken's theme - Momentary Life. Good beat to it and a fun charrie to play with (hmm, who does she remind me of.. `` big coincidence, mind you). I just like the music over all GGX music. It's got a solid rythem to it and is fun to play on repeat :D

5. (Way of the Samurai) Alright, I don't know the name to this one.. But it's a piano part and plays when it's late afternoon in the big field. The song just rocks me to bits and just brings on great lonely emotions. ^^ good stuff.

ooooooh....this'll be hard for me....

Lets start things off with the obvious choice I'll make. (you all saw this coming already...)

Earthbound - (insert random song from the game here). I cant decide which single track from the OST is my favorite. I love them all so much. But if I had to....I'd have to say....The battle BGM from when you fight Giygas and Pokey, or Fourside theme. The battle BGM with Giygas and Pokey is something that just rocked and blew me away. While Fourside just had that catchy tune.

Final Fantasy 6 - Shadow's Theme. Shadow is my -all time- favorite FF character, I just liked everything about the guy. His theme, his appearence, fighting stats, style, plot background. His theme is really fitting to his character, and just awesome. I do have to agree that Terra's theme is pretty damn good too. So moody, so moving....

Guilty Gear X2 - Justice's theme Meet Again. I just really loved Justice's theme. Starts out very epic, then just goes into one big jam. Seriously, freaking awesome. I also liked May's theme from GGX2....that'd be my second choice.

Shinobi (PS2 Version) - Main Theme. I just think Shinobi was the coolest game for PS2, one of the reasons is because the main theme was just so good. That was my strongest impression of the game when I first popped it in. The graphics, and fast gameplay was also very mind-blowing as well...

Mystical Ninija 64 - Festival Temple theme. I just loved how that song was so damn catchy. I also like alot of the tracks from the Mystical Ninja 64 game....but I cant listen to em. I need to find the OST downloadable somewhere! AHHH!!! Also loved "I am Impact" from the game, too. DASH DASH DASH!

Legend of Zelda - original opening theme. Yeah, who could ever forget that epic opening? Just those little blips of beeps on the NES in that melody....just awesome.

Zone Of the Enders 2 - Beyond The Bounds. This song blew me away when I first popped in ZOE2 on my PS2. Good j-pop here folks.

Totally Rad - That one song they played on the 3rd-4th stage. This is a game rarely anyone played....but I loved it. Alot. I remember it had a really good song in there around the 3rd-4th stage. Cant place my finger on it, but I know its good.

Megaman - old boss intro jingle. Yeah, this isnt really a song per se....but that little jingle that plays on the old NES Megaman games when you select a boss, is just one of my FAVORITE game sound-things ever!

Zelda: Ocarina Of Time - Zelda's Lullaby. I loved the song, got me moved in that special little way....Also loved that Temple of Time song.

Yeah, thats my list. I know I probably have more...but damn, it'd be waaaayyy to long for me to think it / type it / post it.

Xenosaga:

Beach of Nothingness - Mellow, dramatic, creepy at the same time, with some great violen stuff going on. Love it to death, sometimes called Shore of Nothingness

U.M.N. Mode - sometimes just U.M.N. - Has a really mellow sound.

Green Sleeves - beatiful and delicate.

FF6: the orchestrated versions are the best.
Celes Theme - Has a wistful dramatic quality. Celes is best ff6 character.

FF9:
Black Mage's Village - one of the most bouncy charming village themes I've heard.

FFX:
Besaido Island - Sounds like a tropical island should, peaceful, sunny sound.

Someday the Dream Will End - sounds ...dramatic..

Auron's Theme - Sounds just like him. Kind of cool.

Crono Trigger:
Island of Zeal - sounds mysterious and mystical. - sometimes just Zeal

Death Sea Tower -ominous and meloncoly. oppressive place.

Secret of the Forest - a quiet forest. sound of deep green.

Suikoden:
Theme of Sadness - Captures the very sound of sorrow.

Dinner at Teo's - very warm sounding, acustic.

I cant really pick a favorite song from each game I've played or what not, but I can tell you the order in whcih my favorite game music goes.

Guys... Just a small notice and all.. But I said in the first post if you dont' know of any specific songs to name and just know about good music from games... Ranc made a thread (put in the first post) about 'games with cool music'. Go post there if you're going to list off game titles XD

Okay some of the titles I don't know so you can shoot me now but they are from very specific points in the game so you should find them easily if you want to DL.

1. Aeries Theme- FF7 It rocks. It's sad. It's just plain good.
2. I beleive this is called Shuffle or Boogie. It was in teh FF8 game when you played cards.
3. Winning Theme Music- FF8. It's the music that came on after most completed battles. It rocks.
4. Subterranian or underground theme- Mario Bros. 1 I like the orginal but there is a midi that I have that gives it a 70's/hip hop twist.
5. Man was it called Mac's Theme? Its the music where Little Mac and his trainer goes past the statue of Liberty in Mike Tyson's Punch Out. it's highly addictive.
6.Tetris Music B or 2. I think that is self explanitory. I don't know if it has a title though.

I am sure that there are other themes and music I like but I can't think of anymore at the moment.

I have a lot of favorites...so I find it easier to say the game soundtrack itself...

Xenosaga and Xenogears - Both by the same composer, Yasunori Matsuda really impressed again with his nice and fitting instrumental pieces.

Guilty Gear XX - Nice tracks so reminscent of glam rock. Some catchy and suitable for such a quick paced action packed game.

Dark Cloud 2 - The music here is nice as well, especially the ones used for towns and those slow scenes.

Fatal Frame 1 and 2 - OK not much music but when there is it's perfect and enhances the feel of the game.

Chaos Legion - I really love how the tracks were composed and how it seemed to be a mix of heavy and classical tracks.

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness - Kawaii tracks and unforgettable tunes. Really nice and it helps ease the tension when you're actualy thinking of ways to get rid of nasty enemy setups. If you think that is.

Those are some of the ones I like, I have some more which I can't remember now. ^^;

FF 9- Melodies of Life, by Shiratori Emiko

FF X - had some good music, but i've not gotten around to accually look any up

FF X(2)- The song ' 1000 words ' i think its called, was really good, and i loved the cutscene it had.

FF 7- Aeries Theme, I have a peice of it played by an Orchestra and it sounds absolutley lovley.

Xenogears- Had alot of nice music in it, never got around to look into wich ones i like best.

Parasite Eve- Good music, forgot the tittles.

Lunar and Lunar2- Both had good music, I do not recall the tittles.

And I quite liked the small ocarina pieces played in ' Zelda: Ocarina of time '

Final Fantasy VII- Mako Reactor

Final Fantasy VIII- Liberi Fatali

Final Fantasy IX- Black Mage Village

The fire emblem, "Ride Together" (I'm pretty sure is what it's called) song. It's the same song off of ssbm, and the first time I heard it on fire emblem I knew what it was, and hearing the real song for the first time was just too cool. Earthbound is definately awsome, I have a remix of one of the songs which is really cool, I'll have to dig it up and listen to it again.

I think generally all game music is good, though. As long as the music fits the game. Like Fzero GX has this heavy metal-ish music which makes it all the more fun to ram into other guys and knock them off or blow them up. }: D

Does anybody else not like the new Harvest Moon game's music, A Wonderful Life? I only have two records, and it's annoying always listening to just them! I liked that in the 64 HM game, the music changes for every season, that was cool!

I don't have many video game songs I like...another reason I don't have many listed is becasue I can't think of them at the moment. (I'll edit my poat if I think of any more) I have a VERY bad memory. ^^,
