Title: Okibi no Renkinjutsu
Description: Alchemy of Blazing Fire (Lab)

KrazyKelli - April 5, 2004 09:04 AM (GMT)
Alexander "Sasha" Chorchnoi stands triumphantly in the center of his newly completed lab. This local government was fairly generous in their contributions after reading his letter of introduction and observing a few chemical demonstrations. They had granted him a lab off of the town's main street with a stock of his requested materials. "Har har har... It's all mine!" The Russian bellowed to himself. To celebrate, he took his second to last vial of vodka out of his pocket, downed it, swung the front door open to the street, and set to work making a new batch of his favorite drink. The front of the shop was unmanned, but a large bell rested on a counter so that anyone requiring his services could alert him.

----------------------------- and a handful of ------------- with some --------------

Amethyst was taken into the lab, carried by the oh so very russian, Sasha. Both of them were soaked, both of them mildly muddy. Ame was slightly bloody, but was temporarily bandaged for the time being with a robe previously borrowed from some guy that just so happened to be on TheStreet at the time. She was taken over to the bedroom, laid on the bed. And Sasha left her alone to get some water.

Another bed, another unfamiliar ceiling. Ame laid there and watched what was above her for a while.. Letting the pain soak in her as the dirty water was doing. Was there really any point in doing this? Was there still any point in going on?

The aweful laugh of Moristune as he set her on fire echoed in the back of her head. It was Far more overpowering than the berserk nature she held - though that seemed to have died down as she was too weak and injured to be controlled by it. Moritsune's ******ing voice wouldn't go away. It was all she had left.

Moments later, the boy miandered into the lab with Ame's robe in one hand and what items fell out of it with the other. "Now why would someone be walking around with a buncha different wanted posters of themself?" He wondered aloud with mild confusion.

Issue13 - April 5, 2004 09:13 AM (GMT)
"Thanks kid, now take off..." Sasha tossed the boy a small change purse. Next he put some water on for tea and grabbed a bottle of alcahol... not the drinkin kind.. the wood alcahol kind used to clean wounds. He also grabbed some dried meat out of a storage chest. Then he headed up to check on Amethyst. She was there staring at the ceiling.. man.. she looked bad enough to bother Sasha. What else could he do but drop some extra blankets on the soaked woman and offer her some dried meat. And that is exactly what he did... then he took a seat in a corner.

KrazyKelli - April 5, 2004 09:18 AM (GMT)
Ame didn't respond much when Sasha entered. She just watched the cieling. Quietly. It betrayed her usual character and everything.

The blankets were plopped down on her. A handful of dust clouded out from the blankets, as well as the bed - being that it wasn't used for about a month. Ame coughed a bit, but survived it.

When the meat was offered, the woman turned her head to look at it.. But refused with the mere notion that she didn't take it or respond to it. Her stomach was killing her.

When Sasha took a seat, Ame went back to watching the cieling.. A moment longer before she responded, "I lost.."

Issue13 - April 5, 2004 09:26 AM (GMT)
Sasha had no point of refrence to evaluate this comment from so he proceeded as usual.... by being vague.

"It happens to the best of us, my friend... but not all that is lost is gone for all time" Sasha let it go at that.

"You really should eat something. I'll make you whatever you want... or I'll send for it... but no sake for the moment."

Sasha shifted in his chair uncomfortable.

"We need to get you cleaned up... are you up to taking care of it yourself or should I go find some help?"

KrazyKelli - April 5, 2004 09:34 AM (GMT)
Amethyst bit her lip.. it was clear she was trying hard not to start crying. She didn't need to say anything else to state the fact that whatever she lost, she lost so badly and horrendously that it didn't only wound her pride and will to live, it destroyed it. However, the woman did irk out a, "I couldn't land one punch.... I couldn't-" but his words cut off hers. She gave a pretty heavy wince at the mention of sake..

Took a deep ragged breath. Slowly, painfully sat up. Gave him another look of hurt. Wondered why he was helping.. "why are you..." but didn't finish the obvious.. instead, stated it, looking down.. "I'm hungry..."

Bit her lip soon afterwards, muttering out a rather hard, "I don't need help... don't go look for it.. but.." once again, didn't finish her words.

If lost, confused, and all around bruised didn't sum up Ame's current actions, nothing much else will.

Issue13 - April 5, 2004 09:44 AM (GMT)
"Look... I know you're tough. I know that you don't like to rely on help. As far as the 'why' of it all.... don't worry about it. Maybe just accept that it is out there."

He stood and began to search for a change of clothes. When he had found an acceptable replacement for his currently tattered threads he walked behind a standing screen and changed.

From behind the screen he said, "I'm gonna go get some rice balls. Please clean yoursel fup a bit and help yourself to whatever I have that is dry."

With that Sasha walked downstairs and out of the lab.

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 05:17 AM (GMT)
Ame thought about what Sasha said while he got changed and ran off to get riceballs...

Once he was gone, the thought of riceballs made what was left of her stomach implode vocally in growls.

For some reason, Ame slowly sat up and looked around the room. For some reason, she slowly stood.. For some reason.... She fell over in a crumpled pile of pain.. "Living ******"

Ame set up on the floor and glared darkly at her dislocated ankle. Placing both hands firmly onto it, the woman popped her leg back into position with a loud Pop. Before using her mildly wet sheath and tachi as a temporary crutch to get back up.

She spent a bit going around looking at what Sasha had to offer.. before disrobing and putting on some pretty large upper robe and.... some shorts. ..........................

Amethyst then went back to the bed and sat in the dry spot of it, taking one of the dryer blankest and wrapping it around her.. Looking all angry at herself for doing all this.

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 05:29 AM (GMT)
Sasha returned quickly with the food. He was lucky enough to catch a street vendor right as they were closing up shop and had taken the rest of their stock for the day. Eight nice big riceballs and some steamed soybeans... yumm.. edamame

By the time he got back upstairs Amethyst had changed and was seated on the bed looking rather unhappy... mostly pain as it appeared. He also noticed that she once again had her blade.

Sasha held out a wicker box with the food in it and offered some to the woman.

"So, when did you get your blade back?"

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 05:38 AM (GMT)
Ame glowered at Sasha as he came back in... As if blaming him for finding her in the first place. "Was tied to my sash the whole time.." she muttered lowly, a snake rattle could easily be occupied with it. Taking the food into her bandaged unhappy hand, the woman held the dripping sheathed sword out to him.. "It's wet........." she stated unhappily.. Adding in.. "It's gunna rust..."

Waited for him to take the sword.. Squeezing the crap outta hte riceball with her bad hand at the same time. Wether that's out of pain or agression is left to the imagination.

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 05:48 AM (GMT)
Sasha had indeed noticed the sword as he carried Amethyst back to his lab.. but when he had left town 6 week earlier she had given it to someone for safekeepin.. oh well.. he let it go and instead took the blade that the woman was offering.

"Well, i'm no expert on blade maintainance, but i do have some supplies that i'm sure would help in it's care."

Sasha went downstairs once more and returned with the tea he had started earlier as well as some cleaning rags and small glass jar with some black substance in it.

Sasha poured two cups of tea, though he was sure one would just get cold.. he offered it to the woman anyway.

"This is graphite" he said as he displayed the jar. "it is nearly the same substance that makes the iron in your blade into hard steel.. it works well to prevent rust and will not allow your blade to attract dirt like oils will"

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 05:56 AM (GMT)
Ame bit her lip again as Sasha went off. Even though she's given up on going on, the woman felt wrong without it. Specially after what the damn general did to her.

When he left, she checked out the crushed riceball. sniffing at it slightly.

By the time Sasha returned, the riceball had mysteriously disappeared. Least, that's what she hoped Sasha would think. When he handed her the tea, she took it - however making no open move to drink it.. Watching hte tea with furrowed brows, wondering if there was alcohal in it.. A bit weary towards drinking it.

Ame slowly looked up while the russian told her what the jar was about. Nodding slightly to his explination... A moment later, she turned away and muttered with slight absense, yet slight begrudging embaressment - as if she were going to get flogged for her words, "Hai.. I trust you.. Make Shin'i better.."

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 06:04 AM (GMT)
Sasha took a sip of his tea and took a seat on the floor with his cleanin supplies all about him.

First things first... he would have to take apart the weapon to ensure that everything could be thuroughly dried. To that end e dug in a pocket and pulled out a small two sided tool and began to remove the pins that helt the balde together... In a matter of moments the sword was in it's separate components. Sasha cleaned each one thuroughly and applie dthe graphite where needed. Reassempling the blade took a little while, but as each piece came together the puzzle became easier. Soon the blade was whole once more... the saya was another matter... the insides would take quite a while to dry... unless.... Sasha munched a riceball and sipped tea for a moment in thought....

Another trip downstairs and Sasha returned with a vial of whit powder covered in a rubber stopper... The powder wad pourded into the saya. Next, Sasha covered the open end and shook the implement to ensure an even coating.

"This powder has an afinity for water.. it will dry the saya in short notice. Also, it should work a few more times should you ever need to place a wet blade inside it will be dried in moments."

Sasha grinned at a job well done, resheathed the blade, and handed it back to Amethyst.

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 06:14 AM (GMT)
Ame watched him, grasoing the teacup dangeriously at moments. Specially when he started to disassemble and assemble her sword. Hoped everything wouldn't fall apart when she used it..

The powder also made her worry. This was like watching a horror film. But once he explained it, she decided he knew what he was doing.

While sasha held the sword out to her, Ame glanced at it. then at the tea. She took a few deep breaths before sipping hte tea.. then choking it down. Tosses the teacups aside and took her sword back. Glancing back up to him like a weary puppy. "arigato...." she muttered.

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 06:20 AM (GMT)
"Dozo yoroshiku."

Sasha stood and stretched. Through the window, the sun could be seen sinking into the mountains.

"So.. your wounds.. especially your hand there. Your call on how you fix it.. but as a friend I must insist that we do something. After all, wounds like that could make it rather difficult to use a sword at all."

Sasha began to gather up the wet and dirty clothes and place them in a wicker wash bin. He hung Amethyst's robs up to dry and then stood and stared at her expectantly for a moment... waiting for her answer to the medical treatment issue...

"Sooo.. Missed you a bit while I was out there in the woods. The forrest has many creatures, but none are good drinking partners.. BWAHAHA..." Sasha cracks himself up.

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 06:26 AM (GMT)
Ame didnt' know what to say to Sasha's first words. She was still a bit depressed about getting her ass handed to her While swordless and then having the attacker drill into her how worthless she was and how she had no friends or people that would care about her.

She would have replied about how she didn't want to be healed. How she just wanted to lay back and waste away to nothing. But when Sasha added his last words in, she didn't know how to word it.

Ame - after placing the sword on the bed and checking out her bandaged hand absently - muttered in the center of Sasha's hoarse russian laugh, "I don't want to drink anymore...."

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 06:34 AM (GMT)
Sasha's laugh stopped dead and he carefully searched the woman's face for any sign that she might be joking... it didn't look like she was.

"Welll... alright, there are many other ways to have fun. But all that aside, drinking is a secondary issue here. Healing is te first. Do you still have that salve I gave you? I can make some more if you need, It should help the cuts.. but your hand looks like it will require time... and some immobilization.. hmmmm"

Though very little frustrated Sasha, he was beginging to feel a little useless when it came to actually helping Amethyst. He could patch her light wounds and help out with basic maintainance issues, but overall he could do next to noting for the big things, or so it seemed.

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 06:41 AM (GMT)
Ame sighed before glancing upsettedly across the room towards nowhere important.. "I wanna drink.. I just..." she bit her lip harshly and went quiet.. Before breaking out again with a whispered, "Dont' wanna be set on fire with sake again... " She winced towards ugly memories and turned in the bed to face the window - away from Sasha.

Was quiet for a while..

She gave some hard thoughts in this time. There was no desire to get healed.. But it was slowly unknowingly entering her mind that Sasha was a friend and did give a damn about her getting better. Ame was just too stubborn to notice it... She hesitated... And sighed.. before saying in a most breakthrough action, "I can patch up wounds pretty good..... I just....... can't do it to myself..." her voice faltered... but finished in, "'s a two handed job.." If observant, it was solidly clear that Ame didn't like looking weak.. and not being able to bandage and tend to her own wounds when Good at it was a major sign of weakness.

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 06:51 AM (GMT)
Relief washed over Sasha. Amethyst was actually going to allow him to help her. By now he knew how fiercely independant she was and he had to make sure that she was not actually relying on him to patch her up.

"Well, just lemme know where I may best be used and well get you fixed up then. "

Sasha had enough in the way of medical supplies to treat his own wounds.. things that would likely result from lab fires, explosions, fumes, and the like... but he figured he could improvise almost everything else.

"If we need any supplies I can go get them, commrade."

Sasha opened a closed full of linens. "We can use these to whatever extent me might"

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 07:11 AM (GMT)
The woman was quiet for a while in thoughts towards Sasha's practical plead to assist her in healing... She glared at him. Wondering why. Why would anyone give a shit about a wanted criminal's health. Specially when she's the lowest scum of Edo.More or less everywhere.

Ame bit her lip again in slight indecisiveness... Before slowly pushing herself up - using the sword as assistance in her walk (since her bloody ankle hurt a bit still). Ame Hobbled over to the window and covered it with its' shades to keep everyone outside from seeing her. She turned back to Sasha. Standing tall before letting the robe part of her recently borrowed clothing (keeping the shorts on, of course) drop to the ground. Exposing the hard bandaging over her waste, arm, hand, stomach. and chest. It covered up her sensative areas (of course), but much of it was filthy and bloodcaked. More or less muddy from the water. Half of the bandages, of course, were from Sasha's recent involvement (like the stomach and such). And most of hte exposed skin she had was Covered in scars and a rash of 3rd degree burns. Most definately, Ame had been playing with feral fire while the russian was gone.

She muttered darkly, but more seriously.. "My chest was ******ing cut open. Like my back... And.." she untied the filthy bandages of her hurt hand.. Peeling back the bloody bandages to show the Many more stitches, burns, and broken bones that were still healing via her hand - if not up the arm. Including her lost fight with fire, Ame apparantly tried to hit something and lost in that as well.

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 07:20 AM (GMT)
There are three type of people who can look upon total carnage and not flintch: doctors, killers, and fishermen... It may not sound like such a dangerous profession, but the sea has a way of reminding human just who has the advantage of sheer power.

Sasha was in scientist mode and began to study each wound and prioritize them. Her hand was in bad shape, but the chest and back seemed to be the worst. The ragged edges of skin were white with necrosis and potential infection. Some wounds even showed signs of crusted pus. It was not a good sign overall. Frankly, Sasha was surprised that the woman hadn't yet died from blood poisoning.

"I'll need some tool for this."

Down the stairs, up them again... Sasha returned with scalpels, needles, stitching thread, and a portable heater fille with coals. There would likely bee a need to carterize some of the wounds.

"Alright... Let's begin."

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 07:26 AM (GMT)
Ame took out the time to remove the rest of the bandages (yes, upper nudity.. but nothing in the ecchi sense of the word.. more gorey than anything) on her upper half. Wincing at a bit of it - since it hurt like all ******.

However, by the time Sasha dominated the stairs and returned with the many sharp tools, Ame was reminded of what Muga did to her regarding hte same objects. Covering herself with her arms, the womans' eyes darted ferally towards the needles, the scalples, even the bucket of hot coals. She tensed up, took a step or two away, and nerviously looked around for where she dropped her sword - it was a few feet away by the fallen robe.

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 07:32 AM (GMT)
The abject fear was plain as day in Amethyst's movements.

Sasha set the tools down and stepped away from them.

"These are for you. You take control of them and tell me which ones you want me to use and how."

Sasha sat on the bed and waited for the woman to calm down. He leaned over to an oil lamp by the side of the bed and lit it with a nearby tinder and flint. The sun was fast retreating and they would be in need of light for the proceeding operations. He also grabbed some of the alcahol that he had brough up earlier and used it to sterilize his hands.. though with as much infection as was present in the wounds alread he doubted that it would make much difference.

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 07:45 AM (GMT)
It took a long while before Ame slowed down her thoughts. Ame lost a bit of trust in the man, though it was probably only temporary. She slowly inched her way over to the tools and glanced them over.

Slowly taking a scalpal as if it would bite her and slowly examining it.. Then the bandages... Then the bucket 'o' coal. Finally Ame takes one of hte needles. Checks it out. And with a sudden thrust, threw it across hte room into a wall - like it were a dart.. muttering. "Don't use any of those.." with a dangerious glare towards Sasha.. Making it clear she needed niether drugs, painkillers, nor injections in this. No matter the grand amount of pain.

Thereafter, the woman explained pretty damn thrurrowly what to do - more towards her major wounds. And while her methods sounded rough and overall unpleasently painful, she didn't seem to mind. Infact, she sounded pretty damn clear and professional in what she intended for him to do. Though her way of getting wounds tended to were far less like someone would do in a clinic. And more like someone would do with only the rare items they have in a War.

After the explination, she glanced around with a lowly growled, "I need something solid to grab while you do this.. like wood..."

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 07:53 AM (GMT)
Something solid.... his kettlebells... Sasha pointed over to the two iron orbs with handles in the corner of the room.

"Those should be solid enough... If you manage to crush them I'll wear a dress for a day" Sasha smirked.

The needles were still quivering in the wooden walls. No painkillers, no drugs... well, Sasha figured that the woman could probably handle the pain. Hell, he knew that she could.

"Just hand me what you want to start with and we'll get to work."

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 08:05 AM (GMT)
Furrowing her brows again. The woman walked over to the workout devices and, lifting one - glared at it's weight.. This thing was heavy......

Giving a heave, the woman lifted one and, with a haphazard swing, tossed it onto the bed. Onehandedly, this was a hard act to follow. The next one took more effort - the woman dragging it a bit before having it follow the first. Setting the items up on the bed. She took a firm hold with one hand, then realized that she couldn't grasp very well with the broken one while it was unbandaged. Why the ****** did she bring the second one over...

Mild curse.

She glared at Sasha.. "The ****** aren't you starting yet?" before realizing with another curse that she needed to tell him what to do. Gave him directions on how to fix the backwounds first. knowing how deep the gashes were, she gave a clear tip to be careful on stitching and not having hte stitches go too deep. Since the cut was close to the bone (if not the spine). She didnt' wanna end up without the use of her legs, after all. Another muttered addition to sheer away any dead flesh and just stretch what skin there was together.

Thus on she took a firm grip of the handle of the kettlebell with her good hand.

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 08:13 AM (GMT)
Sasha took up a scalpel and prepared to cut away the infected flesh.

"Alright, I'm about to begin. Bite the edge of the blanket if you need to. It's better than breaking your teeth."

The dead flesh came away easily and Sasha began to scrape out the infection. It wasn't as deep as he had previously suspected. Excellent. He was extra careful with the stitching needle and the wound was closed. The rest of the minor back wounds were easily cleaned.

"Time for your front side."

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 08:21 AM (GMT)
Ame glowered at Sasha, before grabbing the blanket. Pulling at it.. Realizing that the weights were holding it down.. Cursing off.. And just stuffing some of the old bandages in her mouth. Not like it would kill her.

She was tense while he worked. Her knuckles were white, eyes closed. A handful of muffled curses, "Fuffing Thit" and that was about it. She was braced and it was clear the woman had been through this before. More likely with Obsid if anyone else.

When the man was done she released the weight, turned around.. gave directions once again. Warned him not to do anything funny -,- "Don't do anything funny, or I'll kill you." before popping hte bandages back into her mouth and grasping the weight again.

Her front looked far nastier than her back. Old wounds made hte new ones look far more ugly. Not to mention that the charring burns didn't look fixible. Was surprising her bones weren't exposed. Speaking of bones, the woman's ribcage looked a bit odd - but that was only cause she broke a few ribs in her ugly ordeal with the damn general. And those were still healing.

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 08:29 AM (GMT)
As Amethyst turned to fach him, Sasha noted the broken ribs. There was no way to bandage those. Beyond the cuts that were numerous in nature, several areas were devoid of skin altogether. All he could do was pack them with a poultice and allow the body to take care of them. With the simple cuts taken care of, Sasha turned to the deepest ones that could be closed.

"Gonna have to use some heat on these."

Sasha removed a short brand from the heater and examined it as it glowed red.

"Just nod and let me know when you're ready."

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 08:33 AM (GMT)
Ame grit her teeth.. Wow.. Heating a brand in a bucket of coal.. this sure brought back memories. She turned her head to glance hatefully and distrustingly at the 'baikokudo' branded tatoo on her left shoulder. Clearly this was bringing back unhappy memories...

But that was then... She could trust Sasha, she hoped.. Amethyst closed her eyes.. Took a few raggedly deep breaths... and nodded.

On another topic, now that Ame didnt' have anything covering her top half, it was clear exactly how bloody thin she was from not eating. Sides for what muscle was left under the scars, she was close to unhealthily skeletal.

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 08:39 AM (GMT)
The smell of the melting flesh was revolting... even the two seconds of searing had produced enough stench to fill the bedroom. On the good side of thing, the deepest wounds were now closed.

Sasha turned his attention to the rest of the wounds on her arms. Nothing presented a major problem. He did however make a note to figure out a way to feed the woman some heavy foods to put her weight back on. Rice balls wen't going to cut it.

"Well, that'll do it for the front. How about your hand?"

KrazyKelli - April 6, 2004 08:47 AM (GMT)
She was trying so hard not to scream or cry out in pain at the burning. But it was clear that it hurt. More or less hte burning sensation brought back more ugly memories of her remote past. The reek of flesh.. the reek of sake. The helplessness.

But it was clear after he was done that the woman would survive from the experience. It just hurt like all ******.

Turning her head, Ame spit out the bandages and glanced to her stitched hand..Muttering.. "Just needs to be cleaned and rebandaged. like the rest of me... That cow at the clinic stitched it up and fixed it.."

While remotely calm, the woman did shoot Sasha a look that she was in alot of pain right now - though grinning and bearing it to an extreme. Which is so much harder to do when sober.

Issue13 - April 6, 2004 08:53 AM (GMT)
"Easy enough..."

Sasha finished with the hand just as the sun was coming up... Cleaning that many wounds took serious time.

"Well, that everything that I can see. If there are any others we can fixt them now... or you can take a rest. I'll go get some food for later."

Sasha looked like he had been butchering cattle... his hands and everything else on hs front was splattered with blood.

"On second thought, maybe I'll chnage first."

KrazyKelli - April 7, 2004 05:31 AM (GMT)
Roughly, the woman sat down on the floor.. now that she was cleaned and the major stuff was bandaged up, there was no more reason to go on. Because, while Amethyst was alright with some guy lacing up her wounds, there was no way she was going to remove the shorts and show him what other cuts or breaks there were. She had limits.

Not to mention that the baikokudo was physically worn down from all the torment and pain that went by in the last few hours. She was tired, she was in pain. Sweat ran freely down her forehead.

She glanced up at him, then back down at the blood that stained the borrowed pair of shorts.. Shrugged it off.. "I'm done.." muttered Ame.

A thumb was jabbed in the direction of the bed, and the weights on it, "It's still wet.." the woman added in without further explination towards why she was on the floor. And while she didn't add more, it was also clear that she wouldn't be able to lift the kettlebells off the bed.

Issue13 - April 10, 2004 08:51 AM (GMT)
"Fair enough.. you've been through plenty."

Sasha vanished behind the changing screen and returned once more, dressed in his familiar loose pants and a stained lab coat. No shirt underneath... there were none clean.

"Lemme clean this off, commrade"

Sasha hefted the two iron orbs off of the bed. That small lift alone would not normaly be of any concern to the Russian, but even he was left drained after the long night.

"unnnghh... there" he set the weights back in their corner.

"and a little of this...." he tossed the blankets off the bed, flipped the mattress over, and tossed the blankets back on top.. well, the dry and unbloodied one at least.

"Feel free to grab some clothes out of this closet" Sasha was currently rummaging through the storage. He returned with a heavy quilt and laid it on the bed. "I'll be back in no time"

And with that, he.... went down the stairs.... again.

KrazyKelli - April 10, 2004 09:07 AM (GMT)
While watching the man, Ame waited til he was done to see what he would do next. Her watching was silent, grave, and upsettingly tired. But eventually the man finished taking care of the bed and the other meaningless chores.

While he went back downstairs, the baikokudo reached over to reretrieve the fallen robe she previously borrowed from the russian - putting it back on over the bandages and tieing it very loosely. Sure the large pair of shorts she was wearing was bloody, but she didn't care. Ame wore bloody clothing all the time.

It was a minute or two that Sasha had been downstairs. Sure the exorsize that crazy man must be going through was amusing, but there was a subtle angst that Ame suffered - being that she was in a house with a man she hardly knew and he was doing something behind her back. She had to know what Sasha was doing, even with the current fratigue and seering pain she felt all over. Didn't want to feel insecure as it was.

And man was it surprising the woman could stand at all. Specially after all that crap. Afterwards, there was a dramatic handful of paces to the stairs.. And trip down it. Mind it, a very Brief trip - the woman regained her grip and balance quickly thereafter (biting her lip). If she makes it all the way down the stairs without being detected thereafter, Ame would go see what Sasha was doing. Well, if he were in the residence still.

Issue13 - April 11, 2004 01:41 AM (GMT)
Sasha buttoned his lab coat and stepped out the door.

*Sasha exits the lab*

KrazyKelli - April 11, 2004 05:10 AM (GMT)
the place the quiet. Too quiet. But that was only because moments before the mutually maimed woman froze dead stiff as the door of the front room roughly closed. Crap. Now all she had to do was check in the front room. Either Sasha had just left, or a customer/other person just came in.

With dramatic slowlness as to that of a snail being shot at, Amethyst crept towards the opening to the front room and cautiously looked around it.

.... nothing.

The asshole had left, then.. To where? Well, Ame was going to find that out. Since she already went through shit getting down here and keeping in one piece.

Out the door ame slips.

Issue13 - April 17, 2004 05:26 AM (GMT)
*Sasha enters the Lab*

Sasha continued to lead Amethyst along with the slightly cooled eel bowls. His goal was to ger her to the couch just inside the lab. He set the bowls down on the table by the couch and laid the food out as best as he could with his eyelids feeling like they were weighed down with kettlebells.

"Here's a good spot for you... I must take my leave to get some sleep myself. Sorry."

Sasha lumbered up the stairs and could be heard flopping down on the upstairs bed moments later. It wasn't long before gentle snoring could be heard.

Ame vaguely watched Sasha push her over to a couch, sit her down on it, and splay out the food. She unaudibly listened as he left and died upstairs thereafter.

It was only a matter of time thereafter when the woman snapped out of it. She glanced up at the stairwell before muttering out a, "Good. All alone finally. ******ing wounds.. ******ing samurai..." Another long string of painful curses before the baikokudo glowers heavily at the bowls infront of her. Grasping out with good hand for the chopsticks, taking the bowl into her bandaged hand. And chowing down as if there would be no tomorrow.

Yes Ame was still depressed. Yes she was tired to boot. But she was famished from her previous hunger strike and since noone else was going to eat the godly looking eel, it was all up to her.
