I'd probably love to join in on the fun (and probably be on Ragnarok server if possible, as, well.. it's just appropriate for me, what with my name), but I don't have the game, nor do I usually engage in MMORPGs (plus the costs besides the game itself, as in monthly fees). Then there's the time I'd have to put in for who knows how long to get a character I like and enough to stick with it, at that.
But it does look rather lovely from what I've seen.
Were there an offline single player game to be played, I'd at least get it for that (and the HDD for the PS2 version).. I at least could do that much with PSO
(back on the Dreamcast that is).

Im on the Ragnarok server myself, not verry high lvl though, only lvl 31thf. Although I am lvling up my Ninja, Summoner, Ranger, and soon to be Samurai jobs.

I rarely play on rag so my future DRK is a MNK11 and a WAR5. Heh I played 1 day and never really logged on since. :P

My fairy guy however, is much higher. :)

OK.. got the keys, got lv 30, got all the subjobs except for NIN, PLD, and DRG.. and those quests are already 80% completed!

Soooo.. the question is now... what should I be? SAM/THF seems pretty logical to me. As does pressing my luck as a THF/NIN.... after all, gots ta have the gillz! Or maybe I will scratch it and become a SMN/BRD. That should be entertaining until about level 40.

I'm a 55thf/38nin (42 whm on the side). Trying to get to 56 so I can wear my green pants. =3 Then I'll just need my shirt and boots for full AF.
Thf/nin is fun, especially after 30, and then 33. SATA/viper. *grin* You'll want Utsusemi though, and that will be a lot of time running around giving out zinc ore or yag necklaces (go with the ore, faster fame). Having Utsusemi up is great for thief, since you'll be puller most of the time. That way you come running back with the mob without a hit on you so the whm doesn't steal hate healing you before you do SATA.
If you want to go SAM, you should level War, too. Having both subjobs open for use is pretty nice.
Oh... and maybe level ranger some for sam, too. I've watched Sam/rngs own in ballista. I've also heard their ranged attacks hit for more than a ranger's.

And after it is all said and done, I am now working as a BRD/RDM.... oh the humanity!

CoP is coming out late because Square was storing the games in a wearhouse in Florida for some damn reason and a huricane hit. So now everyone has to wait even longer for it to come out. I was happy today, I wanted to go exploring the new lands. ; ; Hopefully it comes out tomorrow at one place or another :/

Edit: Yep, came out the 23rd. Best Buy didn't have it like they said they were going to, but Game Stop had it.
Head to Delkfuts tower, you'll be in for a really nice cut scene and the start of the CoP missions. ^^

Luckly I didn't die. They do a nasty attack at first that stuns you, so you can't get Perfect Dodge off right away. And they cast poison... then the Ahriman didn't help the situation. -.-

I played warrior recently, trying to get it up to 30 at least, it's currently at 27. I've also been playing ninja, which I managed to get from 42 to 50 in about 5 days. @.@ Started hunting for my Ninja AF bits, got the pants the other day, then hunted for the coffer keys two days ago. Yesterday I wandered through Sea Serpent's Grotto and got my leg piece. So Now I'm set until 56. ^^

I also managed to hit BRD34/WHM17.. Several of my last parties haven't even had a WHM in them as a BLM/WHM, BRD/WHM, and SMN/WHM can cover healing while a NIN/WAR tanks. Toss in some DDs like a RNG/THF and a THF/NIN and you kick some ass...

Here is what sucks, though.. i am only rank 3. can't do 3-1 windy because i have a quest active that blocks me from talking to the people i need to for 3-1.... the quest is like a level 47 quest! Gotta get into Garleige Citadel and kill Fallen Evacuees till i get the incinerator key... that ain't gonna happen till i get a level 60 to help me. Hell... I'll go as my 25WHM and stay invis the whole time.. but i need that key... otherwise no Airship Pass for me.

Or you could just change alliances for now, do some missions in another country. (More story line this way) Get the gil for the completed missions. Get to rank 5, then wait until you're about level 50something where you can solo rank 5 to change back to windy. You'll still have the airpass and you'll get extra money. I knew someone who did something like this, though not for that reason. One of the few problems with it is that you'll loose your CP, so if you do it, use up your CP.

And no, if you have a good Ninja tank, you don't need a white mage. Some of my best parties have been a rdm main healer and a bard. Though whm is Very nice if they have Erase. Also between levels 40-47, they have haste, while redmages don't get it until 48. NINJA'S LOVE HASTE. I don't think anyone realizes how bad Slow is until you've Utsusemi tanked. @_@

Mithra AF? I think you meant RSE. ^^; First AF (weapon) you can't get until level 40. The armor is at level 50-60.

Ahem.. I did mean RSE... yes. And now I am in the CNest.. joy of joys. No map because that quest blows. I'ma get WHM36/18BLM to do that one...

I like hte idea of switching allainces.. though it would take me about 2 ays to get back up to Rank 3 just due to the travel time... still better than being stuck at 3 forever.

I haven't played in like a week, though... may have burned out on it.

Oh well.. Halo 2 in like 72 hours.. I salivate just thinking of it.

just started playing again, but since it's been over three months my characters have all been wiped clean so I started up a mithra thf on Asura and after a few days of casual play I'm at level 10 but I'm terrible at approaching people for parties and I'm tired of waiting for my friend and his party to come around -_-

Hey! FR, if you want a world pass to fairy I'll get you one. :) I've got a few jobs around level 10 for when you get at that level, if you don't want to party with strangers.

Finished my Thief AF today. Shoes are a pain in the ass to get, so much running around. @_@ Then you go fight this bomb. If it blows up, you're dead. If you keep it from blowing up, it goes down pretty quickly, at least it did with the number of damage dealers I had with me. >.> It was hitting our 67 paladin pretty hard though. o_O
Btw, the cut sceen at the end of it makes it very worth it. I LOVE the ending cut sceen.

Yes, that quest does blow. I still don't have my CN map, though I swear I've gotten all of the tablets. -____-*

I'm pretty good about keepin track of which tablets i have truned in so far... hopefully I won't screw myself there.

I don't think that my THF will ever see beyond lv 30. I really enjoy playing it, but I don't think i have time for leveling anything beyond primary and subjob. Maybe someday I will break out the THF/MNK again... tll eveyone yells at me to make it into a THF/NIN.

I do have a solo concept for THF, though... THF/BRD at level 32... I could sleep the enemy and break out sneak attack every minute. It would probaly get me killed real quick.

no, I don't think I need a worldpass for now at least; I'll let you know if it gets frustrating enough though ;) for now I'm mostly trying to get into the mid teens so I can team up with my friend's party, which if that turns out badly I'll probably come pleading for that pass :lol: mind telling me anything I could level with in my preteenness? cause right now most stuff is giving me crap exp and if I go to the orc camp I get schooled.

Go to La Theine and level on rabbits, birds, and sapplings... I think. If you're soloing. Thf is hard to solo with, though... :/

after 10, straight to the dunes and get a PT no problem. I still don't know why people are so against doing this. The lizards in the SE area are perfect and if you are close enough to zone to dust off links or aggroed gobbies. Normaly takes me 2-3 days of play to get through the dunes if i stick with an alright PT.. that being one that earns me about 150 a battle... though a good PT can get chain #3 there without much difficulty.

I got it when it first came out for pc.
I got up to lvl 47 drk, 32 war, 14 nin, 12 ranger
It was ok but that monthly price eventualy made me say eff that.
now i play monster hunter on ps2

ACtually.. i quit like three weeks ago.. gave away all my gear and stuff... and imagine this.. I suddenly found a social life as soon as I quit. Coincidence? IDK... hahah

I still play.. kind of.. a group of friends from work were trying to go for static party... but it ended up not really working because people started going on different shifts, being on at different times and of course, I changed countries (not in the game). So, some of the people aren't really on anymore, which sucks because the game really is more enjoyable when you have friends to chat with and stuff. Of course, you know it's sad when you're a lvl 10 WAR 12 MNK 6 THF, and have a fishing level of 12 and cooking 6... It's weird... I don't bot, so I literally will sit there watching my character fish, and I'll rather enjoy myself... usually if there's someone to talk to.... ...

I recently got back from taking a month off. Started getting bored over break and reactivated my account. Haven't done a whole lot since I got back. Leveled a few things, but haven't done any missions/quests. ^^;

I came back under the return to vana diel campaign but deleted my old asura character because it had been a level 15 war sword/shield all the way (bad idea) so I started over on fairy with aki :lol:
