Title: Farenheit 9/11

I have to say this is perhaps one of the most powerful movies I have ever seen. Its truly great, and will probably open alot of eyes to what exactly is going on in America. Its not a biased liberal propoganda film like many people in the news have painted it to be. This movie does a very good job of simply going from point A to point B, asking itself a question and then moving on to explain itself. There was no bias here folks - it was just pure drawn out facts.
The movie makes a ton of good points, and brings alot of connections to light. Mainly about the connections between the Bush family and the Saudi Royal family. Also connections between numerous corporate contractors and oil profits to be made. Another topic that Michael Moore touches on is the constant amount of fear that was generated by all directions because of the events. And of course with bills like the Patriot Act, a bill that not a single member of congress actually bothered to read, but all decided to pass anyway. Those are just a few issues that were addressed in this documentry film. There were so many things.
I enjoyed the movie alot. It really did make me laugh at parts, where Moore would do his signature stunts to the politcal people. I wont spoil exactly what he did, but they do cause a lot of chuckles. Then there are very serious parts of the movie, parts which almost made me cry. Those parts were mainly watching all the horrible things people (both American and Iraqi) had to go though because of the war that was being fought.
It will make you think. I could discuss what it made me think about, but that could turn into a big political debate.
Speaking of politics, as I said, this movie didnt really have a polical bias. Though did it show how moronic and stupid George W. Bush is? Yes, it did. But in all honesty? Bush does it to himself. Moore doesnt script the stupid things that come out of the president's mouth - the president does it all himself! Which makes it all the funnier, because its a glimpse of how the man really conducts himself.
Overall, I think everyone should see this movie. It is one of the best movies I have seen. That may not be saying much, as I dont watch alot of movies...but still. Its one of the best films you can see this summer, and it does a great job of showing just how things work in our country.

Moore is a self important and obese ass. That aside, I definately plan to watch the film... Calling this a documentary is a lot like saying that The Real World on MTV is reality TV.. sure it is wacky.. you can edit anything to be wacky. You have to have some lunacy to begin with, but the art is in the cut. More to follow when I go watch it.

Can't wait to see it, but will. When the DVD comes out, I'll be sure to check it out.
It's going to be tough avoiding spoilers though as to some extent or another, "everybody and their brother" (even God herself) will be seeing it.

Man, I can't say this movie ruled or was cool... Cause it wasn't... More than not, that's not the movie's purpose.
yeah, my post will have Spoilers for those who have no idea what they're watching.
I found that it had more to do with showing the idiots who find war is good and that the killing is only a videogame reality just how wrong they are. They get very graphic and emotions run high. I nearly bawled crying at a few parts and I had good reason to.
Issue said, and I fully agree with him, "it is unfortunate that it takes a major release motion picture to let americans know that it is happening" ... But if the movie never came out think of how americans would continue being arrogant over this.
This movie makes me hate the news. Why? watch the news sometime...

Heh, I remember one of the most shocking things about the movie...was seeing just how many people were watching it. When Moore's other film, "Bowling For Columbine" Came out, not a single theater around my town would show it. It was as if the movie didnt even exist, and I had to go search for the .avi on Kazaa to see it. My state and town is very, very conservative...and it suprised me that this movie was even being played.
I was actually expecing to have to run a gauntlet of protesting conservatives...and I even joked to myself that the theater would be just me, a few other hippies, and a Jamacian in the back going "ya man!"
Then I walked in and I saw the entire theater packed with all sorts of people. It was a crowd of people that I thought only movies like Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings got...and like I said, all sorts of people. Yeah I could detect my radical liberal brethern sitting in the back....but I also saw people I didnt really expect. A few guys in business suits, a few families...etc.
I had to search for a seat for awhile, but I found one. Seeing the theater packed like that is a good sign, I was afraid that only people who already hated Bush would be the only people seeing this. Now it seems all types of people wanted to see it.
I wonder why that is...? I actually think it has something to do with all the "bad" publicity this movie has gotten. I hear that the major networks arent allowing this movie to be advertized on commercials because of its labled as "propoganda and mistruths".

'Slick propaganda'
Moore's film, an anti-Bush polemic the filmmaker has described as "an op/ed piece," has created a firestorm of controversy. The film won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival -- the festival's highest honor -- but has come under attack from Bush defenders and some commentators.
"Fahrenheit" is "slick propaganda that indicts President Bush for a variety of things, using cut-and-paste video interspersed with the opinions of far-left people such as Reps. Jim McDermott (D-Washington) and John Conyers (D-Michigan)," wrote Fox News Channel host Bill O'Reilly in his column.
"To describe this film as a piece of crap would be to run the risk of a discourse that would never again rise above the excremental," wrote iconoclastic columnist Christopher Hitchens in the online magazine Slate. Hitchens generally leans to the left but has been in favor of the Iraq war.
The White House called Moore "outside the mainstream."
"I can speak for myself and I can speak for the President, and I can assure you that neither of us have seen ['Fahrenheit']," said White House Communications Director Dan Bartlett. "We don't have a lot of free time these days and when we do have free time to see a good fiction movie, we'll pick 'Shrek' or some other enjoy[able] feature like that.
"Mr. Moore has every right to produce and show movies that express his very radical views. He's outside of the mainstream. ... This is a film that doesn't require us to actually view it to know it's filled with factual inaccuracies."

Its pretty amusing to me that many of the news networks have been calling everything in this movie lies, mistruths, and propoganda...yet they havent actually even decided to tell us WHAT those things were. All they say is that its full of lies...but they make no effort to tell us what those "lies" are.
All they really seem to do is just promote the movie even more then its already being promoted
Oh yeah, and this link
http://www.truechristian.com/f911.html gave me a few chuckles as well.

Just got back from the theatre. I took in a double feature that began with F911, took a break at various gun stores, went to the mall and picked up some anime, and ended with Chronicles of Riddick.
F911 was pretty much what I expected. More is ironic and amusing at times. His clips were edited as well as any "Daily Show" report. There were a lot of one sided facts in there... on the whole, I enjoied it. I'll reperat what I said earlier: It is sad that it take a major motion picture to get people educated on major world events such as this.
It didn't change my mind at all, but that may be because I knew the facts already. I would encourage everyone to go see this film with an open mind, however... and keep it open. Don't just take Moore's word for it, go find the facts for yourself. If you don't, then you are still part of the problem.
I'm still proud of what I do as a soldier. When I go to Iraq, I'll do my full duty. There has never been any doubt about why I serve.

Well, just keep in mind that it's one-sided. Heck, why isn't 'this' in the madhouse? ;) Everything about 911 was ******ed up, it's over, why try to change people's opinions about it? Sounds strange?
edit: grah! I've been bleeped! >: (
