Title: The Garden
Description: where flowers go to thrive

KrazyKelli - July 11, 2004 07:22 AM (GMT)
The garden. with.. um.. some trees.. a small creak. many flowers of flowerfulness.. Yeah... This is the spot for foliage.

KrazyKelli - July 11, 2004 07:26 AM (GMT)
After a quick jolting, mutually wet run from the streets, Ame threw her presence into the garden. woMan was it good to see that this place was presently empty with exception of a handful of birds. That, well, just flew off at her presence. So, Now the place was empty.

Behind her was tugged Hayate by the robed sleeve. What a surprising mix of fugitives to see in a quaint little garden.

Once in this place did Ame finally let go of the ronin, before making a vast attempt to walk up a tree a hand - fall - curse.. and finally just suit herself with diving behind it. Glancing around the corner like a cat with malice in mind. Waiting for anyone else who would dare enter hte garden. Completely, for the moment in panick, that her very actions could damage her reputation in Hayate's eyes.

Rancor - July 11, 2004 07:42 AM (GMT)
Hayate kept looking behind him. Wanting to see what enemies would dare try to approach him. It seemed Ame tugged him along at a very fast speed. There were no enemies that were able to keep up. No one was able to pursue the duo. It seemed that the garden would be their little safe spot, for the time being.

Hayate didnt notice Ame diving behind the tree, until he noticed that the woman had dived behind a tree. At first Hayate was confused by this, as he simply stood out in the open, looking for anyone that followed. He couldnt see any. This caused Hayate to cross his arms and slump down against a tree. Sitting down on the soft grass that the garden had availble.

The setting of the little birds, little flowers, little bits of beautiful foilage. Hayate stared into all of it, little by little. Looking at the little objects of nature's wonders. It all caused something to happen in his mind. Something that he really never wanted to happen most of the time. But it couldnt be avoided. It all seemed just a bit familiar.

Hayate's eyes grew sad. Almost a bit painful, looking at the area of the garden. He remembered something, or more specifically - someone. Someone who would care for these types of things with alot of care. A quiet, reserved, peaceful woman who would spend time in her small garden. Preparing and growing things in her little secluded living area. She spent all of her time caring for those beautiful plants. It seemed to be fitting - as she was beautiful herself. At least, in Hayate's mind.

Hayate put his knees to his head. Resting his chin on his knees as a low sigh came from his lungs.

What happened to her was something Hayate never found out. He wanted to, though. She was one of the very few people that had cared for him. Maybe she even loved him. Hayate wasnt sure, he left far too fast. It was at this moment Hayate could feel something ache, but was unsure of what. Exactly.

"Yae...".

The whisper coming off of his lips was probably something he didnt mean to speak. But he did. Those memories all coming through him, put Hayate in a very...strange type of mind. Flashbacks often do that, even if they are small ones.

KrazyKelli - July 11, 2004 07:52 AM (GMT)
Ame spent this time in sheer adrenalin-driven panick. Glancing this way and that. Overreacting to the smalled bird jumping on the lightest branch. And nearly popping into the tree when Hayate moved over to some other tree, sat down, propped up knees, and laid head on them.

Her eyes bore into the ronin with her.. Til not considering him a threat. While Hayate went into memories, Amethyst crawled out from behind her own tree and took a momental sneak around the garden, checking to see if anyone else was there. In the far corner, there was some npc shinto priest. But he just bowed to her and walked off without much fuss..

She came back, much calmer now.. Just in time to hear Hayate.. "eh?" with a mild blink.. And another brief glance around the area as if there was someone else with them.

Rancor - July 11, 2004 08:11 AM (GMT)
Hayate kept staring into the green patches of plants that dotted in and out of the garden that he was currently situated in. A calm wind blew across the garden. A small cold breeze that made Hayate's messy hair sweep slightly to the side. It also made a few blades of plants bend. Hayate continued to be washed in those memories of the only person that had loved him. With eyes that were completely different then normal.

Hayate's eyes were filled with such sadness. It was a suprise that the man wasnt completely in tears, the way they looked. The cool breeze continued to sweep over him. With it, Hayate closed his sorrowful eyes and imagined. Remembering what it was like to fall asleep in such caring arms. Her arms were so warm, so gentle. He could remember the pleasurable feeling of a hand running through his hair. Remembering what it felt like to be curled up against a warm body that actually cared. It was perhaps the most amazing thing Hayate had ever experienced in his life. The more he remembered it, the more he imagined it, the more Hayate ached inside of himself. He wanted to have it back. He wanted that feeling again. But it was so clear within Hayate's mind.

He probably never would be able to return to it. Hayate probably would never be able to feel that way ever again. The chance he had to stay that way was one that was completely slipped up. For the first time, in a long time, Hayate had thoughts regretting the choice he made so long ago. It was obvious to him that he should've stayed with that woman. At least back then, Hayate felt important. Unlike now, where he was nothing. Not being able to fulfill his purpose of killing Moritsune.

With tightly closed eyes, Hayate let out another sigh as his head drifted back against the tree. It was at this time the ronnin remembered Ame's prescence. He had to say something, anything, to ensure that she didnt get worried about anything.

"....I'm tired..."

Thats all Hayate said, as he did what he usually did to forget his happy memories. Hayate began to drift himself to sleep. More likely, forcing himself too. Trying to once again lose those memories to the dreamless sleeps he always had. Hopefully it would be enough to make Hayate forget about the heavy pain he always felt due to his past relationships and decisions.

KrazyKelli - July 11, 2004 08:37 AM (GMT)
Amethyst peered at him through dark green eyes. Slouching slightly, letting one hand rest on her risen hip, the other hanging loosely. She thought about this bastard before her. Wondering why she even bothered to stick around him since this put them both into just that much more danger. Since both were wanted. Since both were tracked, hunted to be killed like miserable dogs. Not to mention that this was a man. How could she ever care for a man. More or less This piece of scuz samurai wannabe. If she just killed him or drove him off like the rest of her friends, she'd be better off. Her hands reached towards the sword hilt. If she just killed him off...

But something changed. Perhaps it was the sad regretted hurt look in his eyes. Or perhaps it was maybe her own personal bond with the vagabond... Ame kept her glare and hard stubbornly strong look about her until Hayate spoke his vagely audible words and closed his eyes. This was when Ame dropped her hand from her sword. And lost the characterized glare of hatred...

But was she worried? Maybe concerned. No. A feeling washed over her that was neither..

There are times when people meet others and experience new emotions. Wether this has to do with teh amount of people in the air, what the person is doing at the time, what is in the area, the colors of the area... Or even Ame's own personal life-choice relations with the bastards... It's unknown. But at this very moment, after seeing into the pools of deep thought dug so completely deep through Hayate's eyes that it betrayed.. no.. enhanced his very essense.. Amethyst lost all of her panicked, hateful, stubborn thoughts and was lost in her own wonderings.

She could feel the very air brushing against every fiber of her being. The weight of hte robes over her shoulders. That jagged pain in her body simply felt out of proportune and empty. Her perception of a revenge-bent man sitting, sleeping before her was lost into a solid fact that they were both blood pumping, flesh covered, living bodies. Just bodies.. Alone and away from everything else. Yet somehow bonded together dispite the rabid space of emptyiness that spans out between them.

The moment of emotional hit only took a grasped handful of seconds, perhaps even minutes. Though it felt like an eon had passed.

Amethyst looked down at her hand and wondered many things, yet in a partially different light. Eyes dilating upon it.. Then beyond it towards a bird not too far off on the ground checking out a small group of blood droplets. From Ame's previous recklousness.

"Feh" she started, partially if not uncertainly furrowing brows.. "Damn filthy men.." Before sitting down against the tree previously hidden behind and sinking into her own robes. Glancing lightly at the slightly ripped stitches on her previously half-cut finger. Blood quiely leaking from it without notice. Quietly, she removed some bandages from her pocket, cut them with a sword - placing what she doesn't need back - and selfbandaging hand. This takes effort and a while.

After this, the woman places hands behind head and watches Hayate... In thought.

Shisou - July 11, 2004 10:37 AM (GMT)
Shisou stumbled along the path. She thought she was in a garden now, but she couldn't be sure; her vision had blurred and she felt like she had a hangover worse than any of the few she'd ever allowed herself to have. She hadn't had anything to eat or drink in what... a week... something like that... She didn't really care, she really couldn't manage to focus on anything with her body so starved for what passed for its fuel. She thought she heard water... maybe in a creekbed... running through glinting stones... or maybe it was her imagination; what was left of it at this point.

None of that really mattered though, she suddenly felt light on her feet and began a fall that seemed slower than the sakura falling in the autumn. She didn't realize she had rotated during the fall and was now staring at the sun. But it looked as if it was getting darker and darker as her vision tunneled That isn't right... it's the middle of the... She thought as she peacefully submitted to the realm of unconciousness.

Rancor - July 12, 2004 06:45 AM (GMT)
Tree bark. It was the only thing around that held Hayate's pathetic resting head right now. Both eyes of the ronnin were closed, his mind felt at ease. Or at least as easy as a broken mind could get. Those visions, those memories that washed into him from viewing the fields of green were slowly and slowly fading away in the slumber of Hayate. IT was all slipping and falling away from Hayate. He was sub-conciously forcing himself back into a green amnesia.

Those very feelings he shared with Yae. The memories of the time he spent there, healing, recovering. Loving. The time in Hayate's life where he was truly happy to be alive. The time he felt he actually served a useful purpose. It would be better for Hayate's mission to lose those thoughts into the green amnesia that was stirring in his head. The real purpose wasnt to care, or be cared. Not to love or be loved. Hayate knew his real purpose was to exact revenge on Moritsune and what that monster had done. The brain knew this. It knew it to the very core. But Hayate's heart....wanted a different reality. It wanted Hayate to have a different purpose. That purpose, being by Yae's side as long as it could be.

The green amnesia continued to submerge from the depths of the ronnin's dreaming mind. His dreams, his desires began to collaspse as the brain decided to use the best arsenal it used to dominate Hayate's decisions. What it always used to dominate his defintions and purpose. Reality. Reality set into Hayate's slumbering mind, strengthing the reasons for the amnesia. Yae was not around, Yae would never be around, because of the choice he made too long ago. Even if he would regret it now...it was too late.

It became cemeted. Cemeted deep into Hayate's mind. His brain had won the arguement. Everything faded into the green amnesia. The gardens, the girl, the feelings. It all slipped away, or rather packed away. Boxed into a little part of Hayate's brain, supressed and numbed. It was for his convience. A killer did its job better if it did not have such emotions to slow it down. Thus is what Hayate was defined as - a killer.

Hayate slowly began to open his eyes. They still held that strong sense of sadness they held previously. Though this time, it was as if something died inside of Hayate. Like he had lost something he had lose again and again, for another time. Depression did set in. Regret. But time would be able to make it pass, and Hayate simply waited for that time to come to him. As he rest his head limply on that bark of tree. With both eyes open now - he simply waited for the time to pass.

KrazyKelli - July 12, 2004 07:26 AM (GMT)
Amethyst sat slumped against her own massive hunk of foligiation. Watching Hayate, her eyes staring at the man. Yet her mind staring right through him, completely lost in thought. Thinking, for once, about the future. Beyond revenge on Reiji for the sake.. After the fight with Moritsune. If not during the fight with Moritsune.

Her recruited bandits were all dead by know, she knew it. And her only companians at the moment were This lone ronin and an insane russian. If she charged in and fought now, the woman would most definately get killed on the spot from her own wounds and slowness due to it. Perhaps training under the russian would help, but probably not by much..

Perhaps she should just run away like she always does. Funny, a strong traitor that berserkedly kills towns is running away. But it's true, it's how she's lived this long. Escape. Escape ran through her joints. Though Amethyst knew this wasn't an option. She couldn't leave Hayate, and knew the bastard wouldn't consider the idea of escape. No.. he was bent too far on vengence.

Then what happens when Moritsune is killed? She has no places to go after that. All of her small family in friends were vaugly around anymore. It was clear. Ame lost pretty much everything after the Moribastard came to town.

Not to mention Zainin. As long as he's around, the woman will have to be extra cautious. Last thing she needs is to deal with him......

Memories flooded her mind of htat blueeyed man. How she once felt... But exactly peace and happiness, but a good life.. A true companian. Even so, now that was no more. His old personality was gone forever, swallowed up by the berserk nature he held, that they both held.

Would Amethyst loose control of herself in the fight with Moritsune. For good...

All these thoughts plagued her mind.. And the only thing to break her from this spell of sober torment was the plop of flesh in dirt.. Her eyes scanning over through the garden in sudden wonder of who else was in the area. Placing hand to hilt of sword cautiously.

Rancor - July 12, 2004 07:40 AM (GMT)
Hayate let his open eyes wander around the field of green plants for a little while. Thinking everything was lost. That wasnt the case though. Everything had already been lost since the beggining. Hayate couldnt figure that out, until now. The ronin had nothing to lose that he valued. Yet it seemed he could only have everything to gain. Everything, in the form of vengeance.

Hayate's wandering eyes began to grow cold once again. Going back to their cold-hearted killer mode. The vision of him and Moritsune locking swords with each other, was one he wanted to see become a reality. He wanted to see Moritsune falling to his blade. It would be his blade, and no one elses. Hayate wanted to take vengeance for everything he had lost, and everything other people had lost because of that man. It would be the only thing that could redeem the loser of all the mistakes and poor decisions he made in his life. At least, in Hayate's mind.

Sounds of a hand grasping a sword. Hayate had caught up on that. He rose his resting head from the soft tree bark and began to place his own hand on his daito. Instincts taking over. Hayate looked at Ame and began to wonder what was going on....

KrazyKelli - July 12, 2004 07:57 AM (GMT)
Amethyst kept silent, in that of an uncertain sitting stance. As if ready to slash into the air from her spot at any moment. Any time someone could walk around the corner of the foliage that the sound emitted... So she waited. Eyesite intense and extreme upon the path.

A few moments had passed, until the woman's view was blocked by her beigns. She stood with utmost caution. Careful not to make a sound - though this was hard since she was sitting in a garden of flowers and twigs. Upon two legs once again, robes falling around her - seemingly dryer than before Hayate's small sleep.

Hair brushng over her partially robe-slung shoulder, the outter robe still partially fallen over it from the previous run and attacks, the woman's senses were completely bent on what would lay behind the corner or foliage. Who would be there to pounce and try to kill her at a moment's notice. The previous turmoil of what lays in the future almost lost to the wind that blew her tattered robes around lazily, treeleaves and flowerpeddles whispering around the area in deep conversation.

Then came the moment, Amethyst turned the corner immediately, unsheathing her sword. Ready for any attack, to block any attack and reply with a rather gruesome counter.

That attack never came..

Glancing straight ahead, then tilting vision down, Amethysts's hard and cold glare fell upon what was there. Brows furrowed. A moment passed. Until the baikokudo let down her sword to look over towards Hayate.. "It's a girl.. I think she's dead.." Was all she said.

Shisou - July 12, 2004 09:18 AM (GMT)
She still felt the pain of hunger, the pounding migrane from dehydration... but she felt it just as one saw a bird in the sky; far away and hard to make out. Was she awake? She couldn't really say yes or no... it was certainly dark. Then it was suddenly filled with moving figures that eventually shaped themselves into her throughout her life... along with a few of the people in it (or rather the few people that ever entered it), and found herself wondering if this was when she'd die. She was not afraid, if it happened, it happened. She was not one to fight the flow and current of life. But why now... why wherever the **** I am now.... Then there was nothing but the dull red behind her eyelids and the blackness that swallowed them as someone stepped between them and the sun.

Joji - July 12, 2004 10:08 PM (GMT)
*approaching the garden she could hear the low sound of a sword being drawn. Her heart slowing its pace she breathed out slowly as she approached the occuring scene* I was beginning to think everyone was dead....*eyeing the sake woman she frowned slightly at what looked like the dead girl on the ground* Im not going to let you have anymore people if you cant take care of them Ame....

Rancor - July 12, 2004 10:20 PM (GMT)
Hayate's hand held steadily on his daito. His back still resting against the tree bark. Ame's sudden tense move made himself tense as well. Enemies could be approaching, combat could be near. Hayate needed to clear his mind and think about how he would fight. His entire being began to build up tension for the conflicting climax that was steadily approaching....

Then, just as it had appeared, it quickly fell away. Tons of anti-climatic moments appeared. A girl who was unconcious, was the only thing that approached them. Hayate let out a sigh as he saw this, and went back to leaning agianst the tree.

Then he heard a voice. Someone vaguely familiar. Hayate put his hand on his sword once again, and became tense all over. He shot a glare towards the direction of the voice, and standing away from him, he saw someone he hadnt seen in quite a long time. A friend of Ame's. Hayate relaxed a bit and nodded to the woman.

"hello...."

KrazyKelli - July 12, 2004 10:30 PM (GMT)
Ame bent down to the person momentarily, prodding the girl with the sword in some harmless unblodgening manner. "oi.. oi.." before tilting her head in wonder if she's still breathing.

But before she stood, the woman fell into dead silence. What if someone else was in the area. What is there was someone that knocked this human before Ame out? This person could be bait to kill the all loved Baikokudo! Someone could jump out at every moment. Amethyst tensed beyond comprehension, waiting and cursing herself over of how foolish she is to check out practically dead people.

Then.. Obsid's voice called out from not that far away. The very fact that it immediately wasn't a voice from Hayate nearly made Amethyst wet her gi. Glancing quickly up to see who it was.

Of course, it was obsid..

Ame first blinked at her.. then downwards.. then back up at her. Before getting up with large puppydog eyes.. "You're alive?" a moment a silence, Ame nearly dropping her sword. Until grasping onto it harder, "What? But.." And pointing it waveringly towards the fallen girl with gritted teeth.. "She was like that when I found her!!"

Joji - July 12, 2004 10:37 PM (GMT)
*looking over towards hayate she nodded a hello and focused her attention towards the girl laying on the floor. Clearing her throat she crossed her arms and tapped a foot towards Ame. Holding back a smirk as the woman defended herself she sighed and shook her head* I believe you Ame...*eyeing the woman carefully* Why do you always bring home the...*searching for the right word she tilted her head at the girl*...complicated ones *leaning over carefully she nudged the girl gently*

Rancor - July 12, 2004 10:47 PM (GMT)
Hayate looked at Obsidian for a few more moments. He had forgotten about her for quite some time. It had been a long time since Hayate had met Ame's closest friend. He was glad that she appeared to be fine. He was also glad to see the pair of women getting along as they usually did with each other. It was a sign that not all hope had been lost.

The ronin looked at the unconcious girl, and did not really care about it. She was unconcious, she would wake up sooner or later. The man simply decided to remain silent, and leaned back against the tree. Crossing arms and looking down.

its best to leave those two alone....they may have some catching up to do...

KrazyKelli - July 12, 2004 10:57 PM (GMT)
It took a few moments for Ame to let everything sink in. The area was unbarebly quiet with exception of her, obsid, the foliage... And now a russle of Hayate's robes as he calms back down and leans into the tree.

Her eyes focused on Hayate for a moment.. Insured that he's still there... before bringing the conversation back to Obsid..

A hand was placed to the back of Ame's head, head being rubbed slightly. While her friend checks out the female tattoo-faced corpse over there in the garden...

Eventually Ame bit her lip.. "Should she go to the clinic where Take Koi is? Er... or.... should I just leave her where I found her.." It was clear the woman didn't know what to do in the situation... And from recent cop and evil samurai activity, she shouldn't go back out into the streets just yet.

Joji - July 12, 2004 11:05 PM (GMT)
*standing back up she dusted her hands off slightly and turned back towards the woman* I dont see any fresh blood or wounds...so it would be best to leave her where she is... *making her way to the woman she glanced over at the girl and continued walking towards the tree* unless you want to relocate her so that when of course shes revitalized and full of energy as well as suspicion and no doubt hatred, she'll feel completely obliged to attack us...*waving her hand slightly she jumped onto the branch and positioned herself to nap*

Rancor - July 12, 2004 11:16 PM (GMT)
Hayate slowly began to sink back and sit against the tree now. The women were assessing and making decisions just fine without him. He wasnt needed right now, so Hayate decided it would be best to sit back and rest himself. Meditating, like he usually did when idle. Though the mind within himself did wonder why Obsidian came back all of a sudden....and why she was gone for so long.....he knew it would be best not to prod or force the answers. Maybe it wanst even important. What was important, was that she was back with Ame.

Hayate closed his eyes and still kept his arms crossed. He was going to rest while the two women did whatever they wanted to do.

KrazyKelli - July 12, 2004 11:25 PM (GMT)
Ame didn't know what to say.. Obsid's decision did make sense.. This person would be pissed or vengeful if.. um.. she woke up.. while ame took her to the clinic or she was fixed up there. ... somehow.. Then again, teh reasoning behind the person waking up in a clinic and getting pissed at ame for it was... off.. Dammit all, that made no sense.

Head was shaken and before Ame finished her thoughts, she noticed that the spot where Obsid once was was now just an outline of flashing dots with a sign nearby saying 'obsid Was here'. The traitor freaked.. Where did Obsid go!?

"Obsid?" her low voice started with that of a meekness to it. .Until Finally a rusting in a tree above give off her location. Ame glared up at her for a moment.. before wondering something else. "What happened to buying a hat with teh bastard bard.. And.. Ah.." she paused to brush bangs back, gesturing towards Hayate with a crudely bandaged hand.. "He's a friend now. I'm gunna help him cram a sword up Moristune's butt when.. um.. we get around to it."

Joji - July 12, 2004 11:32 PM (GMT)
*stretching cat-like on the branch she paused slightly and let a leg fall down, hitting hayates head. Contemplation crossing her face, she pondered for a moment and then spoke * I....was with him *nodding in reassurance now*....and we had hats....*the obvious task of thinking back towards her previous actions was painstakingly hard*...and then i found sake under a table somewhere...*focusing herself she glared at the woman and took on her motherly tone* And how did you get yourself hurt again? Did this jerk do it to you? Do you think Im going to let you get into more trouble, or even fight Moritsune? Cant I leave you for a moment Ame? *tapping hayates head with her foot, she retrieved her leg and continued stretching*

Rancor - July 12, 2004 11:41 PM (GMT)
Hayate rested to himself slowly while the two were doing whatever it is that they were doing. Hayate didnt even notice Obsidian climbing onto the tree he was resting against. The woman was cat-like in getting to her branch of resting. Hayate didnt notice until he felt a soft foot tapping on top of his messy hair. Hayate opened one eye and looked up to see who it was. But that eye was poked by Obsidian's dangling foot.

Hayate grumbled a bit, and moved slightly to the left side of the tree. To avoid being dangled on.

"....currently none of us are in any condition to attack Moritsune. I know that we should only do so, when we are...."

KrazyKelli - July 12, 2004 11:52 PM (GMT)
"Ah!" Ame proclaimed when staring wide-eyed at the bandaged hand. Defore hiding it behind back and waving Obsid off with free hand - which was still holding the sword -when she suddenly started verbally scolding her mother-like. She grit her teeth "It was.. an accident.."

Finally Ame found an escape route. "Yeah. I'm with him (for once)" Now pointing the sword at him waveringly, "I'm not gunna go attack the Moribastard all injured and stuff. that and... I wanna kick someone else's ass first.."

It was silent for a brief second.. Ame's gaze went dark and evil.. "Pyro stole all the teahouse' sake again... "

Joji - July 13, 2004 12:00 AM (GMT)
*eyeing hayate quietly she reached out a leg and tried to tap him regardless of his obvious dissapproval. Looking upside down at the woman she sighed and turned her gaze towards the branches* Youre going to Completely Heal before you do anything rash and normal for you...*rethinking her choice of words she waved her hand slightly* well...completely is too unrealistic of a word...just wait until I fall asleep at least, before you go attacking something and getting even more hurt *feeling confident in her predictions she tucked an arm behind her head*

Shisou - July 13, 2004 12:06 AM (GMT)
Her eyes slowly opened, but they were even farther out of focus than they had been before she'd passed out? Was that the sound of people talking, or did her head just pound more now than before? Where was she? She couldn't put her thoughts together with anything near her normal capacity... but she knew she needed water. Her body called out for it, but she couldn't remember if she was even near any water. By sheer force of will she rolled over onto her stomach and found that her hands/arms could hold her weight, if only barely. She only made it a couple feet of scrambling before collapsing once more, panting. She was trying to look around, but all her eyes managed to focus on were the blades of grass inches from her face.

Rancor - July 13, 2004 12:13 AM (GMT)
Hayate was going to have both of his eyes close once again. To go back to resting as he normally did. But Obsidian's foot tapped on his head once again, lightly. Hayate opened his eyes once again and looked up. A small little grumble could even have been heard from Hayate. The ronnin simply sighed and scooted himself over a bit to the right. To avoid being dangled on, or at least attempt to.

It was here that Hayate noticed some sort of reaction sparking within the unconcious girl that Ame had found earlier. Hayate leaned forward just a bit to see what exactly was going on.

"....somethings happening to her..." Hayate said quietly.

KrazyKelli - July 13, 2004 12:18 AM (GMT)
Ame stopped her sword wavering towards Hayate to look over at his very exasperated talk of something happening to the deadgirl.. "Ya know.." she started.. "sometimes I heard that dead people can randomly twitch.. maybe.." Her eyes swivvled over towards Shisou to see the body move over, go a foot or 5, then plop down again. Panting as if in a desert instead of a garden...

Ame's eyes went huge, pointing the sword once again at Shisou, "Buddah's Crap, She's Still Alive!" Turning suddenly towards Obsid in teh tree, "And what about the sake!? I can't heal without it!"

Joji - July 13, 2004 12:21 AM (GMT)
*rolling over she propped her chin atop her arms and watched the girl carefully. Glancing over at the woman she grumbled and growled slightly* You can heal without sake Ame ...*with a heavy and almost annoyed sigh she jumped down laboriously and walked over slowly. Circling the stranger she spoke quietly* Are you hurt anywhere girl?

Shisou - July 13, 2004 12:26 AM (GMT)
She'd probably be crying if it weren't for the fact that were wasn't enough moisture within her to do it. She tried to get up on more time, but this time her left arm collapsed on her and she fell limpy on her left flank. There was a blotch of color going in and out of her field of vision, and talking... she thought it was talking by now; it sounded nearer but no less clear to her clouded mind. She managed to croak out "Who's there...?" but her throat was to raw and dry to go on. If he mind were clearer, she'd probably be praying they weren't bandity; at this point she was just as nearly happy as afraid.

Rancor - July 13, 2004 12:34 AM (GMT)
Hayate crawled over to where the rest of the women were. To get a good look at the awakening girl that was before the trio. He examined her face for a bit, her eyes as they opened and closed. She seemed extremely fatigued. She seemed a bit battered. But the one thing that stuck out was the sound of her voice. Dry, crackling. This girl was very thirsty...and was in need of water.

Hayate slowly got up and reached into his robes, getting his small little water flask that he always carried. It was near empty though. Luckily there was a well near by. Gardens usually had those.

The ronnin took a few moments to fill up his flask. Then calmly began to present it to both Ame and Obsidian.

"...have her drink this...she needs it...."

While watching Hayate get up suddenly from over her shoulder, she fell into silence Watching him figure out the pleasently obvious. Pulling a flask out of nowhere and filling it up, returning.. THen having the gall to insist that the pretty much parched person splayed out on the ground was supposed to drink it.

Ame took a step back, sheathing sword.. "Oh no.. Have her do it" she pointed to Obsid.. Moving hand to now point at Shisou.. "That isn't my person to take of..."

With this, she turned around and headed back to the tree... Muttering on her.. "Sides.. why water.. We all know Sake is the cure to everything.. Feh.."

*taking the flask from haya she shook her head at the woman and leaned down. Taking her arm gently she spoke quietly* Im not going to hurt you.. *pushing the flask into the girls hand she let go slowly and moved back from her slightly so as not to corner her* Its water so dont be afraid to drink it

She wasn't sure what the girl said, it sounded fuzzy and far away like just about everything else she heartd; but it didn't sound mean. Then suddenly the large blotch that had been circling her handing her a smaller blotch of color which her calloused easilly recognized as a flask. Suddenly her body ignored all its own ills and pumped adrenaline throughout her system, she nearly crushed the stopper ripping it off and sat up, drinking the entire thing until not even one drop remained. Then she closed her eyes and leaned back; her senses were coming back but they were still dull and quite fuzzy, but she found herself able to at least see what was around her... 3 very, very strange people.

Hayate quietly took away the empty flask. It was his, after all. He began to ponder about re-filling it and quickly giving the girl more water. However Hayate remembered that it was a bit too dangerous to give a fatigued person water over and over again. She just drank a good amount....Hayate would wait for the water to circulate through the girl's body for a few moments. Then he would refill it again.

"....shes suffering from fatigue. Alot of it. As soft as this grass is, I dont think it is the best place for her to rest. She should be at a bed somewhere, anywhere.....I suggest we care for her bit longer, until she's gained enough strength to be able to escorted to any place with a bed...."

Hayate leaned back a bit though. Looking down into the ground as he usually always did.

"....though we still cannot draw too much attention to ourselves. Moritsune is still out...after all...."

There was a long moment while the dangerious female human occupant of the garden leaned back on the tree Hayate once borrowed. She closed her eyes, furrowing brows in pure tradition of character, cursing out things in her mind of rather unpleasent nature. ~Dammit all I need sake..~

And eventually going silent while the other two companians took care of refilling the strange new patron to Edokyo...

For a while, Amethyst paced over thoughts of if she was even needed. Perhaps this was the spot where people thought this. First Hayate in his long memories and regret, and now her with begrudgement towards lack of attention.

Finally, her moment for retribution of worth came. "Can't go to the clinic, then.. Samurai are all over it." Eyes opened darkly... "I know of a place we can go secretly, though.. Remember Ai-chan and her inn?... Well, it went out of business long ago and the place was gutted and abandoned.. but there are still some beds in there.." She saying this like it was her own little secret she kept even from Obsid. A place of privacy other than the field. Though not a place she chose to go to often since, well, Ame hates confined spaces.

Yeah the inn would be a good place seeing as most of us here cant be seen by a good majority of the town...*turning her attention to the stranger she nodded* welcome to edokyo....*leaning back on her arms she crossed her legs slowly* or maybe you already knew you were here? Either way we are thiefs and killers and what have you but we're not going to hurt you *eyeing the girl quietly she shrugged a shoulder*...we only kill people we dont like and so far youre no threat...*waving her hand slightly she placed it firmly to the ground and laughed* Sorry for bombarding you so quickly but at least tell us your name so we can stop calling you 'hey girl'...

She looked at the three of them more closely now, her hands forming tight-knotted fists all on their own. One of them seemed distant and closed off, the girl who seemed to have backed off looked as if she were an opium adict who hadn't had any for a good week or two, and the third one talking to her... she seemed calm and calculating. Probably the worst thing that could happen with a criminal... at least if she were emotional... or insane, like the other two seemed to be, maybe she could get out of this by causing some sort of distraction or heated conversation that led them into an idiotic mistake. Best just to go along for now, until she got her bearings.

"My name is Shisou, I have come from a buddhist temple several weeks away... I was not aware I had come this far." She looked quizically at the calm one, so many people had tried to take advantage of her piety only to have a broken limb; she was hoping it wouldn't come to that.

Hayate had let a few moments pass. It was probably best to give the girl more water right now. Very calmly, Hayate slowly walked away from the group again to give his flask another re-fill. When he returned he made a different move. Now that the girl was concious, Hayate decided she could drink the water by herself. The ronin knealt down beside her and extended his flask. Placing it in her hands gently.

"....drink this when you need to...".

Hayate got back up and looked at Ame. Calmly crossing both of his arms once again. He nodded at the woman's previously stated idea.

"I am familiar of what happened to Ai-chan's inn.....after Moritsune used it as his temporary base, the place began to lose customers. Probably had something to do with the....events....that occured while he was there. Gave the place a bad reputation...scared away people...."

Hayate stared into a rock for a moment while he said 'events'. A small flashback of all the things that happened in that inn while Moritsune first came to town came into his mind. It seemed so very, very long ago...

"....I assumed it was torn down long ago though. It probably would be the best place to rest and lay-low...."

KrazyKelli - July 13, 2004 01:58 AM (GMT)
"Good.." Ame stated. She glanced at the ground momentarily in thought of the good times with Ai-chan and the cold gang. Christa, Leperboy, Ai-chan, Hiko.......... Baka-kun....... Her eyes went dim while the other 3 in the garden most likely conversated... Lost in thoughts of good times that drown in betrayel and hurt.. That were never going to return..

Grah, but it was unlike the women to stay lost for long in the 'depression tree' spot.. She shook off the bad memories and cursed something wellfounded for her nature, "Sake. I'll find some sake too..."

This is when Ame pushed herself from the tree and glanced to the people. "You know where it is.. I'm gunna start going there now. Feel free to take your time with the new hostage.." Pause... "oh yeah.." Ame had this vague glint in her eyes, unsheathing sword sudden and turning to point it at Shisou. Looking Very berserk in her eyes.. "If you hurt my friends here.. I'll do much worse than Obsid would even conceive of trying.." before resheathing it and stepping off... Her sandles still making slight flopping sounds due to the fact that they're still mildly wet from her earlier encounter in the hotsprings.
