Title: Resident Evil 2

Saw it tonight. It was pretty good. It had a couple of things that really irked me near the end. It lost the survival horror feel a little after halfway into it. They tried tying too many storylines together and it was kinda rushed. Don't get me wrong. It was still a good movie. The transition from game to movie didn't work as well as hoped. I'm glad i went but now wish i hadn't played the games first.

I'll make sure to see it tomorrow ^^ then I'll edit this and give my own review.

Yeah... I saw it... it was cool, but I think adding the nemisis was a little to much, you know... but oh well... and i was glad that asshole scientist guy got eaten up.
I haven't played the games, but I know a little about them, and I thought the T virus infection of Racoon city was about a week long before they nuked the place.. I dunno.. might be wrong there.

Guah! It's not in theatres anymore and I didn't get to see it! *shakes fist* Well, it's always good to have a stupid scientist be eaten. :P

well, I saw it the night it came out with a bunch of friends; half of which (including me) have played resident evil: director's cut, the remake for gamecube, resident evil 2, resident evil 3, zero and code veronica. And we're all in agreement; it was a good action movie... but it just doesn't do the game justice. I never thought I'd have to say that, because usually the game craps out on the movie... but this. This was writing themselves into rushed little corner. Sure it was funny that there was a pimp-daddy-ish guy with gold-plated .44 desert eagles, but there was almost no survival horror starting when they went into the school. They also skewed how certain things worked in the game... including the precious background of Jill. Speaking of Jill... my BIGGEST complaint about that movie was how they completely ruined her OWNAGE factor. If you've played the games you know that Jill is no super-human... but she comes damned close. If you can single-handedly demolish umbrella-run sites with mild aid from npcs that don't do anything... you're a demi-god. She should have kicked a lot more ass, but instead they focused almost solely on Alice and Jill was completely eclipsed; her sole badass scene at the beginning of the movie. I'll stop my rant now.

I like it.. liked the first one better... what i did find funny (and i knew it was about to happen before it happened) was Alice stealing Veronica's move from RE:CV's intro movie.
Nemesis was pretty lame in this one... and he died too simply compared to RE3... whatever happened to giant mutant form.
PS... Gold Plated DE .50AEs...
i still woulda taken the shotgun.
and yes.. i am looking forward to #3.

There were more than a few things in the movie that irked me.. Like when allice got into a fist fit with Nemesis.... "I'm not a Resident evil fan, I'm not a resident evil fan.." I repeated to myself. The only type of person that actuly would think that was cool is a non fan. Why did he die so easily and why was he able to remember back when he was a human? Plus he only said Stars* once!! Gimped Nemesis!!
Game Nemesis > Movie Nemesis
.
Also Jill is a hardcore cool headed survivor, not some hot headed bitchy bitch. ><
Game Jill > Movie Jill.
I can't really say I'm hardcore, but I had my hand in every game that titles Resident Evil/Bio-Hazard. But it's clear, Game > Movie.
*Speaking of stars, who the hell were all those gimped stars members? At that point both Bravo and Alpha teams should have been taken out with the exception of the members who are immune to the virus. (I think it's 10% of the world population will be inmune. Just happens to be the main characters of the games. :P)
Movie Stars < Game Stars = 1337 + 2
