Title: My Collection! Grahhhh!!
KrazyKelli - October 4, 2004 07:27 PM (GMT)
Well, I was going to finally sit back and catch up on what FMA and OnePiece eps I've neglected recently (I think it's 47+ fma and 103 + onepiece). Also to watch that Monster anime and some porno (gotta have some of that, thanks Shragei XD)
Anyway, before I can access it and do so, my father tells me that something happened to mothers computer, and that it doesn't wanna work properly. Asking me if I dled anything suspitious (like I used that computer recently). To this I rebuited, "Why didn't you just pay and have antivirus updated? It's been over a year, the comp probably caught some trojan or something."
Of course, my father is stubborn and instead of doing that, he tears the computer apart.
Now what does this have to do with me watching anime?
Well, my mothers computer, STA05, has 26+ gigs on it. It HAS all my dled anime. If not half my music. Crap, I'd put the anime on this comp if it weren't a hunk of trash.
How am I going to survive!? I wanna watch FullMetal Alchemist, OnePiece, and whatever else I'm missing out on!!! AHHH!!!!!!
Have you guys ever had times when you need to watch anime, and realize you're just out of reach of some? How do you cope? Or... DO YOU!?

Wow...I sorta know how you feel...
About a month ago my old comp just...well, died. :( I lost ALL of my anime AND ALL of my music; the restore DVD won't even fix it!
Although you're in a much worse situation...you see, my comp only had like a total hd space of 9 GB...so I barely had anime in it. XD But my music...damn you computer from hell...damn you!
Anyway, I hope your computer gets fixed rather than having to reformat everything...that would suck if you lost ALL of those episodes and music...
As for coping with it...just take some morphine and time will pass by incredibly fast!
(P.S. Don't abuse morphine...cause apparently it's illegal!)

i will be feeling this loss more when i graduate cause the shows i want i don't have access to at the moment. when i will be allowed access i won't have fast internet so i'll be a bit pissy cause i'll be SOL when it comes to some shows. i gues si'll either sulk ot get a real job.

It happened. When I completely stripped and rebuilt my computer; keeping only the 45 gig hard drive (30+ gigs of which WAS filled with anime prior to its transfer to a lovely 120 gig external); the problem was I was going to have to update from 98SE to XP. Now let me tell you I stared at my beautiful anime folder until I nearly broke into tears. I had two days to get it all. And get it I did. I went to walgreens; bought 50 CD-RWs and got my ass to work with transfer and labling. It worked out find and when I finished stripping my system it went from 800mhz, 128mb SDRAM, cracked 16MB video card to 2.4 ghz, 512mb SDRAM, and 128mb geforce FX. There was just one problem... one thing I completely neglected to think about.
I DIDN'T SAVE THE INTERNET ADDRESSES OF MY FAVORITES
I've spent the better part of the year since that happened gathering all my resources back together, I've gotten my anime sources back together but I'm still trying to track down the sites of half of my favorite fan scanlation manga. But that's just the way it goes... at least I found the site where I was getting Pretty Face :) as long as you retain most of what you want, it's all good.
