Title: Red Worms And Koi
Description: What are these red wriggly worms?

I have a preformed 2.5 ft deep pond with koi temporarily in there. I have recently discovered tiny red worms that are about the size of Mosquito larvae but they are not! I know what mosquito larvae look like and I don't know what these things are or if they are harmful to the fish! These worms were in the previous pond that I am now renovating. any ideas?

They do sound like bloodworms which are midge larvae. They are usually found in filters. Where did you find them in the pond? Small koi like to eat bloodworms. There are some small reddish earthworm-like true worms that may occur in the bottom of ponds.
