I buried snapping turtle eggs in the sand in my back yard just to see if they would hatch. Well they did. All have dug their way out except 3. I have them under a light in a box. My question is...what do I do with them? I have a sulfur creek in my back yard. Do I turn them loose? Won't a predator eat them? And by them being just hatched, wil they survive on their own now that it is getting cold in the evenings here in Ohio.
You can either supply them with a 400 gallon tank, let them go, or give them to a wild life preserve or something. i would say let them go now.

http://www.fishpondinfo.com/hatchling.htmIf you got the eggs locally, release them in a wetland/pond/stream area nearby. They naturally hatch now and will be fine with the right habitat. Predators are always a risk for any animal in the wild.
