what type of frog? what type of filter? how big is the setup? how big is the frog?

what do you feed it? how much? is it a water bowl? i think it may be a small waterbowl.

its in a large tank and i feed it shrimp pellets and its an african aquatick frog and we have no filter becuas last time we got one it killed the other frog when it was like about 13 years old

a filter would help clean the tank, and it shouldnt kill them. how exactly did it kill them? what type of filter was it? i would vary the diet more. have you had it that whole time?

when the frog died it just went to the yop and just stayed there and after awile it died it was a air bubble filter and i have had it all my life well it was my sisters but now its like my famlys and what kind of diet do you sugest

i would do a variety of prepared foods. hikari makes a really good food for fish, its called simking carnivore pellets. frozen foods are good too(frozen brine shrimp or bloodworms) i dont do any live food because it can easily introduce parasites and diseases. the other frogs death probably had nothing to do with the filter. i would use an internal whisper rated for double the gallonage of the tank.

you couod also be feeding it minnows, or guppies. my frog loved that. afilter should solve your problem. how many gallons is the tank?

I agree that you need a filter. It has to be one where the openings are smaller than the frog's body parts. You can always put a pre-filter over a filter intake using pantyhose or a sponge filter cut with a hole in it.

How big is the tank? It may need a larger one.

I assume you have the larger African clawed frog and not an African dwarf frog? My page with a little on African clawed and dwarf frogs: http://www.fishpondinfo.com/frog4.htm

its probably acfs. adfs dont usually live that long. a sponge filter may help.
