Title: It's Me...val
Description: Still trying
Paradise2 - December 10, 2005 01:19 PM (GMT)
Hi y'all it's me...Val. Still trying to get into whatever I need to get into to do a profile & whatnot. IInvision Free didn't help me & I'd really llike to know how to get to where I can post my e-mail, an avatar & a signature. ANy suggestions? Please don't refer me to Invision Free...I can't even get in under general support.
Tommy - December 10, 2005 05:58 PM (GMT)
dont you have a registered name already? can you log on?
Tommy - December 10, 2005 11:01 PM (GMT)
it says you are the newest member, is it working ok?
Paradise2 - December 12, 2005 02:49 PM (GMT)
I can log on by either name but I can't get into my control panel to create a profile or an avatar or a signature or list my e-mail address. This is ridicoulous. I wiould like to be able to do the fun stuff that everyone else does. I even contacetd InvisionFree & have been told that the host is supposed to know how to do that & then I'be been told by someone else that InvisionFree is wherre I go to take care of it. I dunno.

All I can say is that there is a "Paradise2" member with no posts. Any posts you've made were as "unregistered." So, you have never been logged in during postings. You have to log into your account by clicking on log in and putting in your password. I may be the moderator but I can't do that for you. I have limited power. Invision Free sets up the boards and writes the code. I just pick the categories and can delete messages and members and so forth. I can't find how to create a member (other than myself) but since you're already a member, that's not the problem. Perhaps there is some glitch preventing you from logging in.
Tommy - December 13, 2005 01:06 AM (GMT)
val if you want we can make a profile for you or make a new name for you.
Paradise2 - December 13, 2005 01:57 PM (GMT)
I've been logged in...that's not the problem. The problem is I can;t creatre a profile or anything like that. And when I am logged in I still come in as a guest half the time. Oh well...I'll just let it go & go back to being Val...it's easier to type lol. Thanx anyway :)
Tommy - December 13, 2005 09:33 PM (GMT)
how can you be logged in but not really? weird.
Paradise2 - December 19, 2005 04:07 AM (GMT)
Yeah it's weird. I'd just like to have a profile for others to read & whatnot. Since I don;t have one I'll let y'all know what I'm like.
My name is Val. I live in Oregon. I have 3 kids (biy & girl). My boy has Do9wns. I teach special education. I have a 7-gallon hexagon tank for my mated pair of blue paradise fish. I have 10-gallon nursery tank for their babies. Each of my kids has a 2-gallon tank in their rooms with assorted tetras, guppies & adf's. We also have a dog that is 1/2 border collie & 1/2 golden retriever named Buddy. My adult paradise fish are Pari (male) & Eve (female). I have had a little success in the breeding department (more disappointment than naught). My birthday is January 3, 1968 (old bat).
I love my fish & my kids & my hubby & my dog (not necessarily in that order...depends on the day). I collect tea-for-one teapots & windchimes. I have 1 2-1/2 gallon tank at work that my students help me tend to & at the end of the year the student that shows the most interest in caring for them takes the tank home to keep as their own. I do this yearly
Thanx for letting me share.

I guess I'm an old bat too, born 1972. I have no kids; I can't get a date for that matter.

Lol Robyn you're a young thing yet.

I found out why I can't do anything in this forum. My Controls doesn't come up on my screen once I get here. It does in Tim's forum but not here. How bizarre. If I could fix that glitch then I'd have it made lol. Trying to contact Invisionfree is a bad scene unless you're a host.
EllenR - December 22, 2005 06:12 PM (GMT)
I could be Val and Robyn's mom, so neither one of you are old! But I don't consider myself old......not yet anyway!!! I feel like I am eaves dropping by reading your conversations so if I add my 2 cents worth it is not, right?
Robyn - December 22, 2005 07:27 PM (GMT)
Are you? My mother's name is Ellen Rhudy, hence, EllenR.
EllenR - December 22, 2005 10:03 PM (GMT)
Oh my gosh........that is a coincidence! No, I am Ellen Reilly. What I meant was I am old enough to be your mom. You are a year younger than my second daughter, Robyn. And Val was born the same year as my first daughter. Also I have another daughter and a son.
Tommy - December 23, 2005 12:11 AM (GMT)
val what happens when you contact invisionfree?
Paradise2 - December 23, 2005 01:39 PM (GMT)
Lol Ellen...you're not eavesdropping. We all know these things are going to be open to the public. Very funny about the Rhudy & Reilly thing.
Tommy when I contact Invisionfree the screen says I have no access to thier support. I'm assuming it's for forum administrators.
Tommy - December 23, 2005 09:04 PM (GMT)
i guess so, robyn can you go there?
Robyn - December 24, 2005 12:14 AM (GMT)
I haven't tried but maybe I could. The thing is, I don't think it would help. So many people have used the registered accounts without any problems like you and I that I'm not sure if they would know what's up. That's even assuming they would respond. It may be something with Val's computer settings or something or her web platform. Val, are you using Internet Explorer, Netscape, or something else?

Robyn - December 25, 2005 11:57 PM (GMT)
I have dial-up too but that's not what I mean. At the top of the page right now, the very top, I have "Microsoft Internet Explorer." What do you have? That's the program I click on to go onto the internet. There are a half dozen "brands" with some behaving differently.
