I was reading Dan's post with the green slim.I also had that in my small 20 gallon tank.Nothing has been changed so I don't know where it came from.I only have 3 goldfish in the tank.I cleaned it out 3 days ago and since then the fish are swimming on a bit of a tilt.I didn't do anything different. Will the fish be ok and is there anything I should be doing for them.We really are getting attached to them and we don't want to loose them.

I don't know if the tilting is related to the "slime." The slime could be blue-green algae. It shouldn't bother the goldfish unless there's a ton of it. I suggest doing a good tank cleaning to remove the slime and checking the pH, ammonia, and nitrite (before the change) to see if they're ok. Sometimes fish become ill after a tank cleaning if a lot of bad stuff was stirred up into the water column.
