Hey, I used to have a cute guinea pig some years ago. It was good-tempered and was fine with being held. I have no clue what breed it was, can anyone possibly list some breeds of guinea pigs that are black and white?? thanks

Breed and color are separate from each other. Some of the breeds are standard, Abyssinian, Teddy, and Peruvian (long hair). My last guinea pig, Fritz, died about 5 hours ago. She has surgery yesterday and didn't recover.

There are only half a dozen breeds. Oh, I forgot the crested which is a rare one with a swirl of fur on the head. It should be easy to tell which you see. Most pet stores only sell regular ones, teddies (short, softer fur, a little frizzled), and Abyssinians (fur is whorled).
