Please help!
I have a male and female freshwater blue lobster in my tank.

I noticed tonight that the female has a cluster of eggs.

I would like to know how to ensure and promote the survival of the little ones when/if they hatch.

I'm guessing the first step would be to remove all the fish from the tank but what then??...

What do they need to survive?
Should I remove the male lobster too??

How long does it take for the eggs to gestate.

Any advice would be very welcome.
:)

I don't know much about lobsters. Maybe someone else could help out. With shrimp who are similar but smaller, the babies once released are happily eaten by fish, the parents, and other animals. To increase survival, lots of hiding places, plants, and few other animals help a lot. Ensuring they get enough food may also be a problem. If those lobsters are like shrimp, they can eat most anything but it has to be small enough. I'm not sure of their diet.
