Title: Rules?
Description: Could robyn add some rules?

Jayesh - May 22, 2006 02:33 PM (GMT)
Robyn should add rules such as no swear words, no aggresion, etc

I've discussed this before in some posts somewhere. I will remove inappropriate posts but so far have only had to remove some commercial ads. Let me find my list of rules and link to it here.

Well, the search didn't work, and I couldn't find them. I don't know where they went. Here are some of them.

1. Please refrain from using language that some people may find offensive.
2. Please treat each other with respect even if you disagree.
3. Try to keep an open mind. None of us knows it all or is always correct.

I agree that people need to be more respectfull of everyone, but aggression is a form of passion and an expression of how we feel about certain things. Animal, reptilian, and other creature crusaders come here to get support and information, so pardon us if we express that we are extremely upset with some of the stupid laws in a way that you don't approve of. Do we really need robyn to play mom or referee? I fully support free speech and feel that with-in reason (as children may be viewing this site) everyone has a right to put their 2 cents in so if you take offense to this or anyone else's opinion than maybe the sesame street pond is more age appropriate. Everyone needs to quit tatleing and feeling they need to police someone else. Please don't take offense to this-
I just have an extremely hard time showing consideration for those who are the first to complain or point out faults.

Much love (seriously)!

Since I have my own forum, I understand how you can need rules. I have to keep constant eye on my forum. Ppl do get passionate when disscussing things. For example the trainers and farriers tend to get heated w/each other. Mainly b/c I think they feel they need to protect their profession or reputation. Also what is acceptable one for person maybe offensive to another, so you have to remind ppl to keep an open mind a lot.

I have to commend Robyn, b/c it seems she has a lot less problems here than I do.... but maybe Paso ppl are just extra passionate. :P I had to lock two posts this week for all our extra passion. The reason I do this is b/c I do not want newbies to our breed to get a bad impression or be turned off by our arguing. Most of the time it is by ppl who have known each other either w/in the breed at shows etc, or on the internet for years. So they can argue and be perfectly good freinds the next day, but to a newbie it might not appear that way. So I ask that ppl respect my wishes to have the place clean and welcoming for the newcomers who might be lurking.
