i have soem goat questions any one in here know anything about then? i have pygmys

I've never had goats but know a little bit about them. What are your questions? I may not know the answers.

I have 5 beautiful pygmy goats living in a large barn.

i was just wanderig how you could tell if one was pregnant.i know the gestation period but i cant find any sites that tell if they are pregnant!!!!!

If they are fatter than usual and eating more than usual the could be pregnant, but you could never be sure.

A person experienced with goats could possibly palpate a female to feel for kids but only later in the pregnancy. I don't know if they can do sonograms on goats. They can't on some animals. The signs mentioned of increased appetite and girth would be an indication that perhaps she's with kid. I've seen goats her are nearing birth, and they are huge!

yes we had a nubian goat as a kid and she was pregnant with quads ad she got so buig she could not walk!!!!

yea oly 2 lived 2 were dead at birth. and i think my little girl is expecting well fid out for sure in the next few weeks if she does ot come in heat again!!
