we saw a type of fish in a spring fed outdoor pond and we have been trying to figure out what it is. so here description best i can do !! it was large about 12-14 inches and also farely wide a really unusaul blue color it was with goldfish ad koi. it was not a catfish any one have any pics or suggestions to what it may be?>

Wide and blue? Skinny and blue might have been a blue orfe. Are you sure it was definitely not a goldfish or koi? How did it look aside from big, wide, and blue? Could you get a photo? Without more information, my best guess would be that it was some sort of large gamefish like a bass.

Nope, I don't have any photos of naturally colored koi or goldfish. Perhaps that's what you saw.
