Most water bugs stay in the water. If this is an adult of a species with aquatic larvae, you would have to breed them in a pond-like setting. That would be hard indoors. If we can figure out which species of bug that you have, then we can look into information on breeding, sexing, and feeding. I don't want to do a lot of work on one bug if it's really some other bug.
