Jayesh - June 17, 2006 12:34 PM (GMT)
Robyn says the S-word on her goldfish page!!!
Robyn - June 18, 2006 12:37 AM (GMT)
Oh, good thing that's not my last name so it wasn't me! ;)
Jayesh - June 18, 2006 05:44 PM (GMT)
You still said the swear word!
Robyn - June 19, 2006 12:34 AM (GMT)
I don't consider that a swear word. If it bothers you that much, I can remove it.
ParadiseBreeder - June 19, 2006 05:08 AM (GMT)
Hey after that "thing" w/Jodie over her "big @$$" EVERYTHING...I don't care. It wouldn't happen in my forum but this isn't my forum. Robyn isn't the one who said it. Pick your battles Jayesh. I find it offensive but it's easier to ignore it than make a big deal out of it. My kids don't read these forums anyway for this reason. It's all in your maturity level I guess.
It won't keep me from posting in here.
jessw931 - June 19, 2006 05:47 PM (GMT)
robin you spend so much time ad effort here i think everyone should leave it alone!! ad that word is ot really a swear word y gosh!!!
Robyn - June 19, 2006 07:00 PM (GMT)
To clarify, the word to which he is referring is on my web site and not in the forum. I used the word in a fashion in which I did not think people would take offense; it was funny actually. I hear that word on regular tv all the time so I don't understand the big deal. There are much worse words out there. I'm one who believes it's not words that are offensive but their intent and how they are said. The only one who might find my use of that word offensive would be the plecos to whom I was referring.
ParadiseBreeder - June 19, 2006 09:22 PM (GMT)
Makes sense. I'm in accordance that it should drop now.
JarrodRossi - June 20, 2006 02:26 AM (GMT)
i dont even know what everyone is talking about.
Robyn - June 20, 2006 05:07 PM (GMT)
I removed the horribly offensive fecal word. I told my mother about the hoopla over that word that I wrote without thinking much of it half a dozen years ago. She said, "Shut up! Why do you care about that -insert offensive s word here- anyway?"
Jayesh - June 22, 2006 08:56 AM (GMT)
In the dictionary it is a swer
jessw931 - June 22, 2006 01:33 PM (GMT)
omg some people have of level of maturity!!!!
jessw931 - June 22, 2006 05:36 PM (GMT)
misprint *no level of maturity*
Jayesh - July 26, 2006 10:11 AM (GMT)
The word is banned in some forums (example: tamatalk).

Robyn you're the greatest and you work so hard for this site. Your classy, polite and very informative, and we need you just as you are. Please don't lower your standards or jokes for anyone on the forum. I guess every forum gets all types, don't even lower yourself to respond or explain yourself more than once to anyone. Weidos thrive on attention and can ruin a good thing.
-But anyhow I recently brought a small female black molly and had her mixed in with several mixed community fish. I also have one other large male black molly, and the two mollys seemed to get along fine for approximately 2 months, energetic and swimming all over the place. But about a week ago the female suddenly started acting very listless, always resting on the gravel at the bottom. I saw the other molly nudge her belly several times to push her up and she would swim up a little bit but then immediately drift down. I put my hand in, she let me touch her and hold her in my hand, then would calmly swim out and drift down to the bottom. The other fish all seemed fine and still are. Well after 2-3 days she died and the worst part is not knowing why. I had about 3 other black mollys in the past 8 months (all at different times) and they have all died, yet the original one that I still have in still alive and kicking. I dont' notice him being too rough on the others. I'm hesitant to get another although I would like to have two of each kind of fish. Any suggestions?
Robyn - December 21, 2006 05:21 PM (GMT)
I'm sorry that you lost the mollies. Do you add aquarium salt to the water? Mollies are sort of brackish fish, and, to do well, they need a tablespoon or two of salt per gallon of water. Other fish don't like that much salt though. If you already add salt, have you checked your water quality recently for pH, ammonia, hardness, and nitrite? Mollies like moderate to hard water with a pH of 8 or so. How big is the tank? How much and how often do you change the water? I suggest weekly 30-50% water changes for most situations. Male mollies may pester females but it's usually not deadly. The more females that you have, the less likely that he can pester a particular fish. At the same time, you don't want to overcrowd the fish or get a lot when they haven't done so well in the past. I have soft water so I simply don't keep fish that like harder water. Even guppies don't last long in my water. Good luck!

Ok, it's got over with. It's just that I do know kids that go on the actual websie (not the board) after their fishbowl goldfish died or something.

Thanks Tia for pointing this thread out to me. Sorry I missed it as I have been busy lately, as you all KNOW I would have put in my two cents worth!
Robyn............you are the best, this is your site, we love you. You help us out immensely and have probably saved thousands of animals of all kinds with your help and expertise for those of us that have been in need of advise in a hurry.
As for the S*** thing..............show me one kid over the age of five that doesn't say it, do it, or play with it. If you let your kids watch any t.v. nowadays they are going to hear S***. Didn't any of you receive the email from your friends about S*** being the number one most used word in the English language? Too Funny.
Seriously people...........get over yourselves, if a fish internet site is too much for you, you probably shouldn't own a computer and please keep your comments about Robyn to yourself as it is not only offensive to her, it is offensive to us that you would critisize her for something SO STUPID!!!
Robyn, sorry for the use of the terrible "S" word on this post, it was for clerical value only and my post is not meant to cause you further grief. ;) Elaine
Robyn - April 7, 2008 11:29 PM (GMT)
Elaine, I had to replace your "foul" word with ***'s because that would offend others. After this post was first made a long time ago, I removed that word from that page long ago.
KoiKrazy - April 7, 2008 11:53 PM (GMT)
;) Oh my gosh, I didn't notice how long ago this all was from! Silly Me! Why would ANYONE still bring this up?? Well thanks for taming my bad a** attitude! LOL Ahhhh, oooohhhhh wellllllll, s*** happens. I just don't like to see anyone being disrespectful to you! After all, you were the one that created this monster site and gave all us animal loving nutbars a place to pretend to be normal

...and I'll second Elain on that!
If you need an A** kicked, you just let me know....maybe I can find a big friend or something to take care of it! heehee :D

Read the quotes.
Kids do not hear the S word often. They watch stuff like Ben 10 and Marvel which is S word free. I'm fed up of this. I'd prefer it if someone deleted this topic.
