what kinds of worms?

Worms on your lawn or under it? Are these earthworms or beetle larvae? Why do you want to get rid of them? Earthworms have no real down side to them but beetle larvae are considered pests. For safe, natural controls for various pests, see http://www.gardensalive.com/

They are earthworms, I have seen them eating cabbages and their casts are messy.

earthworms are good for your lawn and i dont think they eat cabbasge we purposely put them i our gardens to airate it.

Earthworms actually eat dirt, sifting things out of it. They don't eat plants. Perhaps you are seeing some other worm or more likely, insect larvae, eating your cabbage.
