is that a breeding nest?just wonderingi have a male beta but he is alone for now still!! but i was just wondering what that was tis neat!!

That is a huge nest !!
Once mines nest took up about around a 3rd or more of the tank, it was on 3 sides of the tank - will have to find the photo sometime...

Sorry to hear about the betta. Do you know why he died?

I have no idea why he died mabey a disease from another fish or something really not sure. He did not show any signs of disease though.

Ours come & go but Robyn's seem to live on forever...
Merrick disappeared a while back too - think something ate him...
I have new fish tho but only one breeding pair - the same Pearl Gourami's... I still have the 3 baby Paradise Fry, a Cambodian Crown Tail Fighter, A purple Male Cambodian, loads of half groan baby Mollies, a Corydora Julli, a Kuhli Loach & a Brazillain Fresh Water Sole, not all in the same tank...
In the big tank I have a huge Synadontis, a big Key Hole Cichlid, a big Princess Cichlid, a big Blue Dolphin Cichlid & a bit bigger Frontosa which are all doing well...

Yeah i had had him for about a year. The betta i had before that i had for 3 years

My fish only live on on my web site. I lose a few fish every month! I've only had one betta in my life, and he died years ago.

Hey Tim...sorry for your loss. Bettas broke my heart so I went to paradise fish. Great nest pics by the way! I had a betta live for 6 yrs & he was HUGE! I told Robyn this stiry ages ago. When he died we took him into the pestore where I bought him so they could see his amazing size. He was about 6 or 7 inches long or so. The petstore guys were blown away. They said they'ds never seen one so big. I guess our water is fishy steroids.
I used to breed them in a 5 gallon bucket w/anacharis. Your nest pics are fabulous.
