Hi there, Yesterday I saw two frogs mating on the side of my swimming pool. I think they are peepers since they make that noise at night. When I got home from work there was eggs in my swimming pool. We don't use chlorine, we use bacquicil, and haven't put any chemicals in recently cause no one has gone swimming. I removed some of the eggs today and put them in a large glass brandy bowl (like what people keep betas in)..some of the eggs were white in the pool, not black like yesterday...How can I help them hatch? I am so excited about this but don't know what to do.
thanks,
I'm not familiar with Bacquicil (no time to look it up right now). If the eggs are hazy white, they may have died from the chemicals, infertility, fungus, etc. The eggs should be pretty clear with a dark center that grows (the tadpole to be). If you're unsure if they are still alive, keep them in fresh water and change it every few days if it's just a bowl. A very small air stone to oxygenate the water would help but may not be required. Let us know if they develop!
