Boys have a larger space between penis and anus than females have between vagina and anus. In the females, the two openings are very close. The male's penile opening is circular while the female's vaginal opening is more of a v-slit. After a few months, the male's testicals will descend and then the male looks like:

(Note, the forum controls removed the spacing but the second line of o's should be on either side of the top and bottom o's. This is why I hate trying to draw things in e-mails or forums; they get all messed up!)
