Title: Eastern Painted Not Eating
Description: my baby turtle stopped eating

Ive been raising Bud for about 6 weeks now. My brother found him in a parking lot no where near anything proper for a turtle never mind a baby turtle. Ive worked in a pet store for 5 years so i took control of the situation. I will admit that i have limited experiance but i do have some knowledge. I set up Bud in a ten gallon ( i will expand when needed) with a whisper 10i filter, the UVB light, and heat light ( which has barely been used because of the heat). At first i was feeding Bud Wardley's turtle sticks and meal worms. He would poke at the sticks but would attack the meal worms when they moved. He seemed to hate veggies which ive heard is common. About 4 days ago he stopped eating. THe first day i let it go, after the second day i changed his tank over completely (it was time for it anyways). Yesterday i thought it was stressful from the tank change, but i was expecting today for him to eat. All he seems to want to do is sit under his UVB. Any help would be REALLY appreciated.

Turtles can go a while without eating so don't panic. I weighed a baby turtle I had weekly. He didn't gain any weight for the first 3 months I had him, hardly eating. Then, he became a pig machine and hasn't stopped. How big is the turtle? If he's still under 2", I suggest finding some live blackworms if you can; they were a favorite of my turtles.
