Title: Fish Poop

Ohhhh, am I thinking of really stupid questions.
I've been watching, ok staring, at my fish for the last 2 hours at least. The one with the clamped fin is still using the limb and eating. The other it seems to be on a continual poop!! Everything from opaque to see-thru ( tubular looking ). Which one is the normal one? Man, these guys are going to make me worry. I thought fish were a destressing pet-hobby. Glad I have alot of snails.

These are baby koi, right? Normally fish waste is pretty solid and breaks off in pieces. When you see empty "tubes," the fish has gas or sometimes constipation or other digestive problems. This can be due to most any illness or stress or diet. For goldfish, they say to feed some boiled, peeled peas but any good brand small koi or goldfish food should be okay.

These are common goldfish. It was probably stress...he's okay now. Between the getting caught, put in the aquarium, and watching his buddy die. He was stressed. I'm starting to realize fish behavior is close to other non-verbal mammal behavior. Still have alot to learn tho.
