i got my first betta today and i have it in a 10 gallon tank...(im not to sure if its a male or a female) ..YES ITS MY FIRST FISH..lol anyways, my question to u was..can i mix this betta with other fish..and if so what kind??? thanks alot
betta will attack most fish and other betta may be in a big tank with lots of plants.
Yes, you can keep other fish with the betta. These are some fish that you do NOT want to add: betta, gourami, paradise fish, goldfish, cichlids including angelfish, long-finned varieties of fish (long-finned danios, guppies, etc.), any aggressive or nippy fish, and any fish with long fins or that looks like a betta. Some fish that would work include short-finned danios, docile varieties of short-finned barbs, docile varieties of short-finned tetras, cory catfish, pleco, etc.
