Title: Snail Territory

Are snails territorial? Picked out another little dead snail today. Right now the bigger snails are about the same size ( white or black bodied, shells looking the same ) so I don't know who's mystery and who's pond.
Some of the pond snails are 'going to town', I'm constantly sucking out egg globbs off the walls. And some I'm missing. So I have VERY little snails, and ones about 1/2 inch...but the inbetweens have been dying.
I'm slowly removing the bottom gravel out, little net at a time so I don't grab any of them. I have about 40-50 in the 20 gal. tank. They're eating goldfish floating pellets and flakes.

Snails aren't territorial. Larger apple snails might tussle but you're talking about younger snails. Snails won't, however, turn down an opportunity to nibble on an unfortunate buddy if that buddy is sick or dead.
