If i want to put my air pump comming from in my house to avoid the electric bill of a deicer, will i infact be pumping a lot of payed for heating out for my house via the pump - more then the cost of electric at 1 kWh
The volume of air pumped out a normal pond air pump is insignificant versus the volume of air in your house. The air pump doesn't have to be in the house. Mine is outside under a black box to keep rain and snow off of it. Cold air keeps a hole in the ice as well as warm air.
