Hi: Would you put some lively little Otocinclus in with a Jack Demspey chichlid, or would that be considered murder...lol
No matter what I put in with him he kills it, even other Jack Dempseys. I have a brown algae problem in this tank, it is easy to rub off, but grows again very quickly and I thought that seeing these little Otocinclus are pretty quick, Jack may not be able to catch up with them. I have quite a lot of silk plants in the tank for cover. Anyone who can offer advice....thanks.

I think ottos would be an expensive treat for the cichlid. I suggest cleaning the algae yourself as you have time. At least it rubs off easily. Some people think plecos work well to clean algae in cichlid tanks but a tough cichlid will beat them to death too.
