on Robyns orfe page there are pics of spawing orfes and then waynes waterfall and pond. behind the falls at the top there is a broad leaf ,maybe 12"across with 7 or 8 fingers.like a star or a maple leaf. It looks tropical and I would like one but I can't figer out what it is. Could some one tell me please so I could look it up.

It looks like a may apple or umbrella plant or something. The photo is real dark so I don't know how you even noticed that!

I looked up umbrella plant and I don't think thats it. But I didn't know they were also called may apples. This plant in the picture appears to be quite tall.

Umbrella plant and may apple are two different plants but both have leaves sort of like the one in the photo. The photo is not a great picture. I will e-mail Wayne and aks him what the plant is.

Hi sal. Robyn emailed me to draw my attention to your question and I am glad to help. The plant you are refering to in my pic is castor bean. You should beable to find lots of info in a search. What they might not tell you is that they are a fun plant to grow.I start mine inside from seed 6 week befor the last frost and then plant them outside in lose garden soil then stand back and watch them grow.Last year I had one 14' tall and this year there is one15'- 6"tall. Be aware that the seeds and leaves are poison if ingested by man or beast. My shepherd dosn't bother mine. You will find you will have less apheds with one of these plant. One bit and bugs are dead. If you live in Ontario I could mail you some seed if you wish. Wayne
