Title: Wild Eastern Turkeys
Description: I HAVE 10 FULL GROWN EASTERN TURKEYS

ADRIAN FROST - December 22, 2006 09:38 AM (GMT)
I bought 30 wild eastern turkey a few months agoa and they are 10 are still living and breading. They are 3 Toms and 7 hens.
Some of the others died when they were young and some were eaten by the other turkeys. My wife ran over one with the 4 wheeler and a bobcat got one of them.
They love to be around me and live in the tree behind the house sit on the pourch with us and as soon as they see me come outside to go deer hunting in the morning they fly down and all want to stand around me and we talk turkey.
They are a lot of fun and really a trip. We have wild turkeys in the woods and everyday they take off in the woods feed all day and come home in the afternoon and roost in the tree.

Wild turkeys are great. I hope you can resist "hunting" your pet wild turkeys. Turkeys don't eat eat other. It is quite common though for poults (baby turkeys) to peck at and kill smaller or weaker poults. That is common with a lot of birds.
