Are crickets enough for him to get all his vitamins and minerals? If not what else do I need to be feeding him?
Thanks for your help!
I don't know anything specific about that species but do about amphibians and toads in general. I'm not sure which species the "African bouncing toad" really is. I searched the internet and can't figure it out. That is some sort of name the store gave him and not a valid name.
You should put the crickets into a small container with some reptile vitamins, shake that, and then feed the vitamin-coated crickets. You don't need to coat them every time as too many vitamins can be bad as well. The toad will only want to eat live small animals. Other choices that your local pet or aquarium store may or may not carry include: waxworms, troutworms (small earthworms), mealworms, blackworms, and perhaps others.
