Title: Siamese Algae Eaters
Description: Algae Eaters

A little over two weeks ago, I purchased what I believed were two Siamese Algae Eaters. They looked just like the pictures on your website and the stipe went the full length of the tail fin. After about three or four days, one of their heads started turning yellow/gold in color. That change in color has now progressed almost all the way to the the tail fin. I now have one regularly colored Siamese Algae Eater and one gold-colored Siamese Algae Eater. Any explanation as to what has happened to the one changing color. Both seem to be very happy and healthy in my 10 gallon aquarium along with my tetras and corys.

Can you post some photos or e-mail them to me? How big are the SAE's? Is the one that changed color all orange or just gold tinted in spots? If it's all orange, that would be rare. There are CAE's that are gold but no SAE's that I know of. I've had reports of CAE's changing colors too but no SAE's. Photos would help me tell you more. The flying foxes also have lines that go all the way through the tail. They are a bit more colorful than SAE's.

I couldn't figure out how to post photos so I sent you an email with two photos attached.
