I finally found how to prevent guests from posting messages. They should not be able to do so anymore. I initially allowed anyone to post. This is because I myself hate to register for forums and such and won't post to them because I don't want to bother to register myself.
Alas, the few ruin it for the many. I got tired of spending 5 minutes every day deleting SPAM messages. Hopefully, it should stop now. I am sorry to those of you that like to post without registering. I encourage you to register. I assure you, it won't hurt. In the mean time, guests can still view all the posts. I hate how some forums won't even allow that. I also changed it so that members have the ability to delete their own posts only. I know sometimes we say things we didn't mean so you can delete those if need be.
Now that only members can post, anyone who posts SPAM will be banned. If I am at all unsure if it's SPAM or not, you will receive a warning instead. SPAM for the most part on this forum has pertained to lists of web site links to various drugs, sex sites, etc. I do not consider ads for animal, fish, or pond stuff to be SPAM if done tastefully. I hope things improve around here now.

It didn't make a darn bit of difference. The spammers just registered! I've blocked those registrants from posting and blocked their IP addresses. They can still post if they just register under another name again. The only way to stop the posts would be for me to see and ok all posts before they go up. I don't want to do that because then people won't get the quick responses they may get from each other when I'm not around. Plus, that doesn't save me any time. Please just ignore the junk postings you may see. I will delete them at least once a day. You don't need to tell me about them; I know.
